CRP is a marker of inflammation c protein is an inhibitor of factor 8 and 5 in the coagulation process c peptide is a chain of amino acides produced in beta cells of the pancreas , it comes from the clivage of proinsulin .

@@MedicosisPerfectionalis You refer to CRP in your video as an "active" compound of the immune system, hence the "reactive". Therefore and for my understanding, and from what I can read in the literature, CRP is far from a mere "biomarker". It can be used as one, but the classification is wrong by your own statements in the video. TroponinT is a biomarker, as it is part of cardiomyocytes. It is released into the blood stream after heartmuscle damage and can be measured as a sure indicator of myocardial infarction and dying cardiomyocytes. CRP in contrast is a pentraxine, just like antibodies, and has the capability of detecting "foreign to the body", as you said, like bacteria, and non-physiologic, like necrotic cells. Even further it is able to not just recognize necrotic, therefore already dead cells, but also dying cells (that may become necrotic and would be posing a threat to be body in the future by becoming septic), that still have the capability to regenerate. Wherein lies the problem of CRP not being able to differentiate between already dead and gone cells or cellmembraneparts, bacteria and not yet dead cells. COVID-19 was the best example for a viral infection, with a massive uptake of CRP-Synthesis right before patients with pneumonia would ventilators and eventually died later on. The publication here descibes the active role of CRP in the cause of illness and cell damage. I highly recommend it: www.frontiersin.org/journals/immunology/articles/10.3389/fimmu.2021.630430/full

@@MedicosisPerfectionalis I think you said you are "no doctor" and I understand the "liability", but I've been trying to help my mom with her unintended weight loss the past 2 years and then I stumbled across your channel. I have learned and ordered tests outside that her medical doctor would not do or don't have and they could not find out why and reported as idiopathic weight loss. Seeing this other person's request, I wonder if I can also send you some lab results to get to the bottom of the mystery. I greatly thank you in advance. ❤ 🙏

Technically, pneumonia is a type of pneumonitis because the infection causes inflammation. Pneumonitis, however, is usually used by doctors to refer to noninfectious causes of lung inflammation." Love your video and subscribing to learn more from you. My CRP report today had the value at 7.35 which I get is high but not too high, but while the report doesn't seem to cover ESR other parameters like creatinine and uric acid are high, and for the first time cholesterol is all over the place. Previous tests have reported some injury to the kidneys. Could you please explain that to me? Btw, I recovered from Stage Zero bladder tumor almost five years ago. Will be doing my pelvic ultrasound within a week so hopefully that can throw some more light so that I can get a better handle at how to clear this new inflammation. Or did it ever go away?

And ever since that, esr and CRP levels never returned to normal range. I'm not facing any physical discomfort whatsoever. Yet the readings. Should I be worried?
@CaptainVelveeta
@CaptainVelveeta 2 жыл бұрын
I'm no doctor but no, you shouldn't be worried. There are all kinds of labs that may read high but are not treated because the patient is asymptomatic. Throw in the fact that we know nothing about how Covid-19 works, lives and plays, as long as you're not symptomatic then there's no need to worry. I would, however, advise increasing activity to strengthen the lungs. That's always a good idea regardless of the condition.

For around a month now I have been having intense pain around the nerve root near t6 or something like that, and the pain has been moving. I have been In a lot of pain as I breathe, sometimes the spots it hurts to breathe change. In the last week, I have been experiencing unexplained nausea and vomiting, which has been a nightmare. In a very recent blood test, it was shown that I have inflammation and/or high crp ( I don't believe they told us the exact number though) and my doctor has ordered an MRI with contrast. We still haven't been called back for the appointment to be made, but it has been approved by the insurance company. I am honestly a bit overweight, and I do have hypothyroidism, which is being treated, but everyone is telling me it is not my fault. I'm scared in all honesty. first thank you for your video !! but i got a question. Are cancers always accompanied by an increase of CRP? because cancer progress is generally silent, the cardinal signs of inflammation are not always there.

@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Gotta say I loved your video! I chuckled… I never chuckle whilst watching medical videos 😄 If I may ask, can a person with a CRP result of 1 have cancer? TIA You have a new subscriber 👍🏻

You can click the little gear/cog setting button on KZbin, and adjust the playback speed to .75 or .5 x and that will slow things down 25% or 50%.
