Beautiful sermon. I can't wait to see our Lord in the flesh. I just want to hug Him, thank Him, and finally fall at His feet and worship Him. Jesus is our Lord. He is our God. I can never repay Him for His deeds and mercy. I therefore submit my life and will to him.

@@matthewcampbell7787 , I agree in the deity of Jesus . However after an ongoing debate with a group of Modalists / Oneness Pentacostalism types ; I see the power of the Spirit in saying "God , my Father , has a Son - Jesus " Jesus is my big brother (Hebrews 2 v 11) God is triune in nature . Knowing and loving His true Anointed King , the true Christ ; is the only way to discern the many false Christs. Great sermon here , may God bless all who hear it.

Excellent testimony and witness on the perspective of C.S. Lewis. Lewis had an amazing and a rare level of brain power which he applied to philosophy and religion. It is something every Christian should study. Brilliant people are defined by their ability to take complex topics and break them down to simple terms easier to understand.

I love lewis, he showed me that frustration at injustice and evil and suffering shows that God exists, otherwise we wouldn't be frustrated with it, just had a revelation the other day too, when I was an aethiest I thought religion was just the belief there was a God, I didn't comprehend the belief in God, it was as arbitrary to me as siding with a political party, but I realised you don't disbelieve the other party exists you just don't believe in them, they are not your salvation, now I'd argue neither party is, only God can provide that for you

It was not Lewis that led me to Christ, but rather Christ that led me to Lewis. I had been a believer in that "Something" from a very early age; but I did not know what that something was. I had the great misfortune of reading Mark Twain's “Letters from the Earth” at the age of twelve or so. And as might be expected from a twelve year old mind, began to question the existence of God. The idea of there not being a God bothered me greatly, but I did not know why. I told my mother about my new position on the matter, the fact that I no longer believed in God, and she simply replied: “You will,” and that was the end of our discussion. Now, we had a rather large family library from where I had found Twain's little discourse in the first place. I would spend hours staring at each of the book titles in an attempt to “decode” them. There's were titles such as “The Problem With Advertising” from my father's MBA program and I really, really wanted to know what the problem was but had no idea what advertising was. I tried to read a few chapters just see if I could understand the problem but never discovered what adverting was or where the “problem” lay. I suffer from Asperger's Syndrome (now categorized as High Functioning Autism). And for me, reading is a supreme struggle. But Twain's work in “Letters” was, for better or for worse, something I could grasp; albeit very slowly, and along with MAD Magazine and Archie comic strips, “Letters” helped me develop my reading skills. But something just didn't feel right in the “Letters” aphotic rhetoric. Something was “Off” - way off. Then I soon happened upon a little book titled “The Great Divorce” and thought I would give it a look. It was my first exposure to Lewis. It is a simple book, but I struggled with Lewis's cadence. But I knew that there was something beautiful being presented in “The Great Divorce” that could wash away the ideas ingrained in “Letters.” I read and reread each book and measured one against the other. The scale favored “Divorce” by a nearly imperceptible “Unit;” but that Unit in itself is beyond measure. Over the years, since the first readings of the these two diametrically opposed books, I have become a devoted pupil of Lewis, as well as the other great Christian writers, and my Faith in God the Father, Christ His only begotten Son and the Holy Ghost prevails. I can thank Twain for helping me learn to read and I can thank Twain, more recently, for influencing me to “pick up the pen.” It was from reading Twain's short “Political Economy” a few years back - one of the funniest pieces I've ever read - that I began to write. I can thank Lewis for removing Twain's aphotic Words in “Letters” from my soul.

The seeds of faith are planted with the Word, and those seeds are watered with the Word, by those witnessing to and sharing, the Word - and God gives the increase when the Holy Spirit comes in with our surrender to the Lord, and then, we begin to see God's hand in everything. Until then, as Randy so well shared, those in the world, being taught according to the world's standards - minus the Word, are at great peril, and we must be compelled, therefore, all the more, to share the light and life of Christ with others in all we do - BOLDLY, as Randy has. From that moment we surrender - we're his, and nothing in this world can take us from his grasp - even though we might let go, even condemning ourselves, but he is faithful beyond our doubts: "If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything," - 1 John 3:20. Once we grasp onto the fact that there is nothing about us or our experiences that he cannot understand, and that he is sufficient for all our needs, trusting and obeying him becomes an act of worship, filled with thanks, praise, and honoring him in "all we do, heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto man," - Colossians 3:23. All of mankind's sins no longer become our distressing anchor, for "greater is he that is in us, than he that is in the world," - 1 John 4:4, and when we "humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, he shall lift us up," - James 4:10.

Thanking God that I no longer have a bucket list! I am believing that the next life is unimaginable! Funny, I often think about that and I recognise that my lack of a real bucket list (yearning for the "Big Experiences") is evidence of my being a new creation. The final part of the song “The Highwayman” has always resonated with me, and this sermon resonated in the same way and more. I’ll fly a starship across the universe divide And when I reach the other side I’ll find a place to rest my spirit if I can Perhaps I may become a highwayman again Or I may simply be a single drop of rain But I will remain And I I’ll be back again, and again, and again… I know the message of the song hints somewhat at reincarnation, but this sermon resonates with me in a more true way than even the song, and I still find the song beautiful. Especially as someone who’s always loves spaceships, the cosmos and drives a truck tor a living.

You see the temptation is about corporal pleasure, placing the senses above honor and respect of God. When we are changed, we no longer are upside down, there is no temptation because when you look at it, it is like rotten fruit, was fruit...you won't reach out for it, because is does not satisfy...we won't "crave" because there will be no lack...we won't struggle because we won't be torn ever again. It's not that we don't feel and enjoy and live...but we put aside anger, frustration, torture...because the worship of God, and doing his "service" is so fullfilling that we won't have room to miss any good thing. HUGS. Look at his creativity, look at his unfailing faithful design...and doubt not that he will no only fill us with more than enough, but he will overflow to the point we cannot contain it all and it will spill over to others. You see it now, when you have more than enough food, or more than enough clothing...look at the food pantries, the good will stores/churches rummage sales... there it spills over already. just think when money loses it's meaning or when we no longer fret over a rainy day looming...look and see we will all be changed.

He [Jesus] said to them, "What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it." ✨ The Epistula Apostolorum 21-24 (Apocryphal New Testament) Jesus: "For on that account have I come, that you [obtain the resurrection in your flesh, a garment that will not pass away.]" "Truly, I say to you, the resurrection of the flesh will happen while the soul and the spirit are in it" 🌄 John 11:21-26 (Canonical New Testament) "Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." 💥 Matthew 27:51-53 (Canonical New Testament) "Suddenly, the curtain in the temple was split in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, and the rocks were split open. The tombs were opened, and the bodies of many holy people who had died came back to life. They came out of the tombs after he (Jesus) had come back to life, and they went into the holy city where they appeared to many people." 💎 Recognitions - The Saints Before Christ’s Coming (Apocryphal New Testament) Peter: "Whoever should be found righteous, should remain longer in the body; or, at least, as is clearly related in the writings of the law concerning a certain righteous man [Enoch], that God translated him. In like manner others were dealt with, who pleased His will, that, being translated to Paradise, they should be kept for the kingdom. But as to those who have not been able completely to fulfil the rule of righteousness, but have had some remnants of evil in their flesh, their bodies are indeed dissolved, but their souls are kept in good and blessed abodes, that at the resurrection of the dead, when they shall recover their own bodies, purified even by the dissolution, they may obtain an eternal inheritance in proportion to their good deeds. And therefore blessed are all those who shall attain to the kingdom of Christ" 🌹 The Book of Enoch 100:5 (Apocryphal Old Testament) "And over all the righteous and holy He will appoint guardians from amongst the holy angels to guard them as the apple of an eye, Until He makes an end of all wickedness and all sin, And though the righteous sleep a long sleep [died], they have nought to fear." 👑 John 11:41-44 (Canonical New Testament) "Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go..." Belief vs Action 🔭🔬👓 Acts of Paul and Thecla 1 (Apocryphal New Testament) Paul: "Blessed are they who observe the instructions of Jesus Christ, for they shall dwell in eternal light..." 💡 Epistula Apostolorum 27 (Apocryphal New Testament) Jesus: "But if someone believes in me and does not do my commandments [instructions], although he has acknowledged my name he receives no benefit from it and has run a futile course. For such will be in error and in ruin, since they have disregarded my commandments [Instructions/teachings]." 👣 James 1:22 (Canonical New Testament) James: "But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves." 💪 Matthew 7:24 (Canonical New Testament) Jesus: "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock..." ✔ John 8:51 (Canonical New Testament) Jesus: "Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death..." 🌈 This also concludes an explanation of the first and the second resurrection...! 📖 For more relative excerpts from the Canonical, Deuterocanonical & Apocryphal manuscripts... 📚 Click here to download WORD Doc: drive.google.com/file/d/17Vh4-EUa9lRyGfO2KYESy55eZcQ81i82/view?usp=drivesdk 📚 Click here to download PDF Doc: drive.google.com/file/d/1OKooQziV9XWq3nHJBEAIsUGvPpGwZG9s/view?usp=drivesdk ☝ The door is still open... If there were a god, then would there be any demand for scripture interpretations by various podium-jockeys using fantasyland vocabulary? We really should address the social acceptance of large numbers of people speaking a fantasyland vocabulary & openly indulging in the deceit of religious belief as a tool of fascism. These are the wolves in sheep's clothing, we know them by their works: A wicked generation seeking signs when Jesus The Nailed says faith is worthless if you can't move mountains by issuing verbal orders to one. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. The Christians slapped their books on the Old Testament, & the Mormons glued theirs on to them both, thus proving Christians lack quality-control. Look at the verbose podium jockey speaking of faith & prayer as if we all should have a preference for travel with one foot in fantasyland. Nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital, & there is talk as if God does not have a perfect record of doing nothing, as if we had no reason for the saying: God helps those helping themselves. A house divided cannot stand. We vote because Christians have no quality-controls, & we desire those governing not making suggestions travel is best done with one foot in someone's fantasyland. 'Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.'' It was secular law & order ending the inquisitions & witch-killings. One might expect a deity to make itself known to everyone without work performed in interpretations of old literature by guys like our verbose podium jockey. Theologians acquire grand titles without certification from a deity, & project certainty using fantasyland vocabulary in an academic setting to compensate for lack of reason.

Abel, Noah, etc have been disembodied spirits for thousands of years and IN ECSTASY! Our resurrected bodies will be “Spirit Bodies”, what does that mean? It means that instead of like now where our bodies control our Spirits for the most part, our Spirits will instead be dominant over our flesh, we’ll be able to walk through matter, I’m just so sick of people who have never experienced or learned things as teachers. I mean anyone who thinks Heaven is boring has never known Christ, for Christ is Heaven, He’s the peace, love and infinite joy of Heaven, if one knows Christ he knows what Heaven will be like.

He really doesn't talk about the new heavens or new earth. It seems like he says this earth is transformed into the new one. That would be incorrect, these heavens, and this earth is removed from God's presence, and no place were found for them. Revelation 21:1 says they pass away.

That renders resurrection pointless and impossible. Therefore that is not the Christian or Biblical afterlife hope. "We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come", "thy kingdom come on earth as in heaven". Thus the new Jerusalem descends from heaven to earth, and the glory of God resides here forever etc. That old cosmological and eschatological notion you have is a recent invention, post-Enlightnment, that submits to the bourgeois seperation of secular from religion by writing off God's good creation he promised Noah and his descendents that he would never again destroy because of sin, and pretending that in the meanwhile before the ultimate dynamiting of God's cosmos that the way the world is, generated by human sin, is God's will, cannot and must not be transformed, taking sides against the kingdom of God on earth in the war of the earthly principalities and powers against it, and claims that the existing political and economic order is in any case none of our business because all we have to concern ourselves with is disembodied spiritual matters and the details of belief statements people must be signed up to or be excluded from church, which renders church irrelevant, abstract and self-shrinking, out of loyalty to the earthly status quo.

@@patrickholt2270 - Although I disagree with pretty much everything you commented. Sticking to my original comment, the Lord provided in His word the following: Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. Like it or not, believe it or not, doesn't really matter, God's word is truth, what it says will happen - will happen, amen.

Where does one get the justification to take what is stated literally, and make it an allegory?

so after reading the entire Bible 3 times.. what exactly made you believe these contradictory, and often wrong collection of verses compiled just prior to 800 AD? Do you also believe that all the scriptures that were left out of the canon by the Nicaean Council, were written by men? or were they inspired too? Isn't God's direction as to these "heretical" gospels and other writings of interest to Christian "scholars" considering that they were being preached for over 700 years? Has any 'religious' person seriously studied the pre-cursors, of which there were many, that formed the basic dogma of the virgin birth, worker of miracles, death & resurrection, etc...and the evolution of ideas that led to these? Wouldn't it be preferable to be responsible for our own actions, good or bad? Rather than promote the idea of someone else able to pay the price for our acts? Isn't it like me killing my cat because I was late for work. Sounds a lot like the surrogate sacrifice of the god-king, once they were aware enough to avoid their own killing by electing a temporary king, and eventually an effigy..

trocarcat This is such blasphemy, every word in the bible is GODS TRUTH. JESUS was sent to this earth as a perfect human and sacrificed himself for all of humanity, this includes even YOU. it’s so ungrateful of you to dismiss so easily what JESUS did for you. If you were the only human on this earth, JESUS would of still been crucified for YOU. what HE did for us was an act of complete unselfishness, that’s how much GOD loves us to of sent HIS only begotten son. Al. Of the bible is inspired by GOD. Nothing has been left out of the bible, it is in its entirety. If CHRIST had not of died for us then guess what, we would all been deserving of hell when we die. But all of those that believe and trust in JESUS ARE SAVED AND ALL WILL INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE. We are evil and sinful by nature and there’s nothing we can do to save ourselves. It’s the proud that resist our LORD AND SAVIOUR. Humble ourselves and admit that we as humans are cursed and do deserve hell when we die. It’s through GODS GRACE THAT WE ARE SAVED, we all should be thanking him and be grateful what was done for us. GOD BLESS.

There is a clear tradition of the NT books going back early. Those churches who trace their tradition from that are the churches in existence today. The others disappeared. Yes, the ecumenical (meaning virtual unaminity in the church at the time) councils didn't proclaim them until later, but the tradition goes back, and yhe decicions for what to include and not, and for which reasons are good. For example, taking the Marcionite herecy, there was always those who declared it a heresy, and that tradition is the one surviving. For me it makes perfect sense, as the Marcionite canon does sound nice and lovely, but ultimately it is not convincing, and it's almost obvious that they would disappear. There is nothing to stand upon in that tradition, no history unfolding, no continuity, it's just feel good. Other manuscript that we have fragments of display other reasons for not including. The gospel is a story, while many of these other letters are simply a bunch of statements, out of any context. They have little relevance outside of an already existing church, which might be perfectly reasonable usage, but obviously can't be declared to canon simply for existing. As for other religions being more desireable, that might be so, but that does not make them true. Any truth has both positive and negative reactions from humans. The Christian story has the advantage (taken seriously) that it does not lend itself to humans being forced into a position of either feeling certainly damned and thus giving up, or believing one is deserving of the good and becoming more arrogant than one already is. It allows for a peace in spite of ones own falling short, without simply retreating from challenges. On the negative side, it does not really allow a moral police to have any effect either, one becomes wholly dependant on people actually wanting to love their neighbour while slso hiding it and not simply pretending for show and perceived gains in this life, which does seem like a pretty hard task to achieve, and probably is at the heart of the instability of the world we constantly find ourselves in. There is no way to prove by scientific methods any spiritual truth at all. The ressurection is believed on a hope that love and truth is more powerful. There are lots of scientific evidence, but nothing can be proven which makes anyone want to believe anything, ever. Just investigate for yourself and see where it leads you. I believe Jesus is truth, so youre better off following truth than anything else. But in the end we are not able to intellectually know all truth, so we must choose to live according to some world view in the end. It is difficult.

Some people do see the fun in funeral: the funeral of sexual passion. In Luke 20:36 Jesus states one of the reasons for not marrying and being given in marriage is because the righteous resurrected can’t die anymore but will be like the angels in heaven. God creating sexual relationships before humans sinned and could die contradicts death being a condition for marriage and sex. Only legal customs of marriage were invented after humanity sinned, so thats all Jesus could be refering to, not the union of a man and woman in an intimate sexual relationship. The Greek words used for marrying and being given in marriage, gamousin and gamizontai, refer to two different acts of a legal institution of marriage. This was not needed with the first couple, Adam and Eve, so says nothing about the actual married state. At the beginning God said for us to be fruitful and multiply, with no indication it was to ever stop. He created marriage and sexual passion for spouses and being alone was the one thing God said during the creation account that is not good. God can't change his mind about the ideal state for males and females if he is the same forever. If simply being more aware of God's presence and love makes marriage unnecessary, than God would have had no reason to create gender and sex to fulfil a different kind of intimate desire to begin with, because God and Adam had exactly that kind of relationship we'll have with him in the renewed creation, before Eve was made. If simply being part of God's image is all the justification needed to have gender, then sperm, egg cells, breasts and wombs will be unused, and God doesn't make things for no use. The female figure is designed the way it is to fit babies during birth. keeping a libido is justified. Angels did have sex and marry as written in genesis 6:1-2, but Jesus said the heirs of eternal life would be like the angels in heaven, where the angels who reproduced were not. But sons of God only ever refers to righteous angels, so if the sons of God were attracted to human women before they left heaven to marry them, and the heirs of eternal life will be like them, he's not teaching that sexual desire will be eliminated forever. If people interpret Jesus answer to the sadducees as claiming no one will be married anymore, then we can't be married to Jesus after the last resurrection either. The description is given of God as a husband to his people in parts of the old testament, like Hosea, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. That wasn't meant to sever marriages of male and female couples anymore than being described as Jesus bride is in Revelation. Marriage of male and female couples and sexual passion is the most joyful and pleasurable of God's creation, yet so many Christians have claimed that that's the only thing he will not restore, but we get to keep food which is bland by comparison. The ideal of eternal paradise for Christians who are prudes is hell to most other people, including other Christians. Just because some people manage to not care if they can continue having a sinless sexually intimate relationship with someone for eternity, doesn't make it fair to teach that those who do much prefer to keep feelings of sexual attraction and being in love with someone, what many people love most about our existence, should somehow not care.

Eric Breaux Great great great You have done well in putting that together I have known for decades what you have said simply by just a few absolute facts which interpret themselves but I have never heard anything so put together Bravo Eric As you stated it’s amazing how many miss the fact that the angels had NOT left their first estate when they looked upon women on earth. That desired them while they were angels. No different in some ways then Lucifer choosing sin of pride Interesting the judgment they both received without mercy without forgiveness even though the Watchers were actually heart broken and weeping and asked Enoch to ask God for forgiveness. The reason no mercy was shown is because both had seen God and all His glory yet still chose to step away from holiness This is why Heb 6:4 talks about it being impossible for a believer who has tasted and known Gods goodness to turn away and return Deep subject but same kind of thing Back to topic Interesting the Angels has the genitals to reproduce in first place let alone the desire Somewhere deep beyond what scripture makes known to us God created the angels with this capability. God does NOTHING without a desire for it then purpose and a plan. We do NOT know everything not even close but as one understands how to consider absolute truths much can be understood that is surprisingly different then so much false blind near sighted vision Coukd it be that the sin of the angels wasn’t in the act of the union but who it was with ? Just as God determined sex outside of marriage is sin for us Although NDE ( near death experiences cannot be considered par with scripture it can be considered and sometimes verified as lining up with it. Many NDEs tell of female angels. The vast majority are male and scripture is all male but coukd it be possible ? As you stated the word says we will not be given in marriage not that our union here won’t continue I found what You wrote very interesting. I wish I had a way of copy pasting as I want to research many of your points Very good thanks for taking the time

I’m not sure how the New Heavens and New Earth will go in terms of relationships but if it does get to where people can enjoy being together with a partner of the opposite gender and can enjoy sexual passion I can picture Randy Alcorn and other people who have made speculations on there being none of that in the New Earth say this on a loud speaker, “Attention everybody! I take back all of what I said on how I didn’t believe these types of relationships would continue to exist. I repeat, I take back all of what I said on how I didn’t believe these types of relationships would continue to exist. I jumped to conclusions immediately when I read Luke 20:36 and I want to apologize to all of the millions of people who got disappointed by my educated guess on there being no sexual relationships in the New Earth. I’m extremely sorry and I’m looking forward to spending the rest of eternity without any hurt feelings and especially without any sin!” I’m just going to wait and see how things turn out! 🤗❤️

Nowhere does the Bible teach that humans go to "heaven" to be with God. It teaches that the destiny of the saved is a new earth which god has not yet created to replace this corrupted one. John 3[13] And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. The new heaven scripture speaks of is not a new abode for God, it is a new atmosphere for a new earth. Scripture describes 3 heavens: 1. the atmosphere of earth (heaven where the birds fly) 2. outer space (heavens of the stars) and the immaterial abode of God, to which mankind cannot go. God will create a new atmosphere and a new earth for mankind, a perfect one, and Christ will dwell upon it with us for eternity. Isaiah 65:17, Isaiah 66:22, Zephaniah 3:8, 2Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1 2Peter 3[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Isaiah 65[17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isa66[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. Isaiah 66[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. Zephaniah 3[8] Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. Speaking of the new earth: Matthew 24[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Mark13[31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Luke21[33] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 2Peter 3[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Revelation 21[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Isaiah 65:17 For behold I create (ba^ra^') new (cha^da^sh) heavens (sha^mayim) and a new (cha^da^sh) earth (eh'-rets): and the former (ri'sho^n) shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. ba^ra^': A primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes): - choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat). cha^da^sh: new: - fresh, new thing. sha^mayim sha^meh: The second form being dual of an unused singular; from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve): - air, X astrologer, heaven (-s). eh'-rets: From an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land): - X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X nations, way, + wilderness, world. ri'sho^n ri'sho^n: first, in place, time or rank (as adjective or noun): - ancestor, (that were) before (-time), beginning, eldest, first, fore [-father] (-most), former (thing), of old time, past. 2Peter 3[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new (kainos) heavens (ouranos) and a new (kainos) earth (ge¯), wherein dwelleth righteousness. kainos: Of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age): - new. ouranos: the sky; by extension heaven (as the abode of God); by implication happiness, power, eternity; specifically the Gospel (Christianity): - air, heaven ([-ly]), sky. ge¯: Contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the occupants in each application): - country, earth (-ly), ground, land, world.

Quit cherry picking scripture to conform to your personal ideas. We will be in heaven too. Where do you think we are for the 7 years Tribulation? Have you ever read Revelation? The throne room scene and we come back with Jesus. The lecturer also quoted Abraham about heaven. John 3(13) is not excluding man from heaven at all. It is describing Jesus uniquely -- we humans just never "ascended" on our own power -- we will be when we are raptured there by God's power. I think the picture that the Bible gives is that heaven and earth will be one, just like in Eden -- not impassable like now.

Nature itself is all one needs... but you'll just be starting at the beginning and you'll have to try to catch up to the thousands of years of knowledge humanity has collected about God if you ignore the Bible. It's like saying a physics book isn't required to learn physics. Of course it's not! But the physics book is a collection of all mankind's knowledge about physics. To ignore it is idiotic.
