C SECTION BIRTH VLOG | THE DAY OUR BEAUTIFUL HONORÉ WAS BORN MID GLOBAL PANDEMIC | CLAIRE CHANELLE

We are thrilled to share this magical moment with you, the birth of our precious boy Honoré Bear. Born on the 10th of July 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic.
We chose to share some snippets from our (longer) personal video. Honoré was born via elective c section. I had prepared for a natural birth my entire pregnancy; physically and mentally preparing. We always knew he was going to be a large baby, this was not our reason for a c section. I suffered from extra fluid my entire pregnancy but two weeks before he was due, the fluid increased rapidly and the decision was made by my OB to go ahead with the c section. I had him a week early and he weighed 9.4lbs, he was 10lb by 40 weeks. The fluid was double his weight and 8 times the normal amount of fluid. It was the only safe option and I am so thankful to my OB for spotting this issue. Not all our birth plans go to plan but the only thing that matters is that your baby comes into the world healthy. My c section was a magical experience and I hope you enjoy this precious moment with us.

Congratulations on your safe delivery. Not an easy thing to worry about alongside baby. I just watched a vlog with a mother who had the same condition with fluid and she is now doing her aftercare - tummy massages:) You looked over the moon with happiness and relief leaving the Hospital. It can be traumatic to have c section , but you made it through .
