I've never known it was a shashiko sewing method before. My mom in law and my wife stitch the same pattern to make quilts, handkerchiefs etc. but never asked them how it's made. Hi from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. It's astonishing how those patterns reached my wife's ancestors (mom side) when there was no internet back then 😮😮😮. Love your work. Keep it up. ありがとうございます。糸こきをする時に、糸も布と一緒に引っ張られるので、裏側で渡した糸が引っ張られて、布端がつってしまったり、前の列の糸も一緒に引っ張られて縮んでしまうことがあります。それを避けるために、少しゆとりを持たせています。
