The mind holds internal memory’s and our consciousness can look at all the old memories and make predictions for what’s best for us each as an individual for our future and also here and now predictions of the best ways to go forward. Although some of us live in the past and can’t stop looking at the old memories and making predictions for the future based on our old memories.

@@dianneforit5409 adaptive advantage is it by making predictions? It’s still not as easy as that or one of us would have a Nobel prise! Personally I think consciousness is what intelligence feels like living in the real world with here and now and with internal memories and like you said we have the adaptive advantage of making abstract predictions about the future.

I'm curious as to what C. Stephen Evans would think of the anthropology underlying the Christology which *simultaneously*: i) Asserts that Christ's human body, human soul, human spirit, human mind etc must all be non-divine created entities, otherwise Christ isn't a complete human, ii) Asserts that the humanity of Christ is impersonal, but is personalised by the divine person of God the Son.

@@ShutUpWesley Yes that's absolutely correct. It happened to me also in thr begining. Without consciousness everything is meaningless. So, consciousness must be the fundamental reality. Only because you are aware and conscious, you are able to experience this physical reality. Without consciousness or awareness, physical reality is meaningless.
@andreasplosky8516
@andreasplosky8516 3 жыл бұрын
You are presupposing that there must be meaning. Reality most likely does not care about meaning, and our desire for it. Reality just is what it is, with and without consciousness to perceive it. I see no reason to believe that consciousness is a prerequisite for existence at all, especially considering that almost all of reality exists unobserved, unperceived anyway.
@con.troller4183

The corollary is, if reality has no meaning, there is no consciousness. Meaning is a value judgement, not a manifest quality. Therefore reality has no meaning in the causative sense.

Neither we know what was we before born nor we can think what will be future or after death. But everything is existing in present our mind is unable to catch it. So sad. Everything is in time just we are living in. We are living in past present and future same time just we are unable to dictate consciousness. When we will be able to live highly conscious life then we just can live according to our choice. We can change our body like cloud and can live according to ours choose.

In the world mind is the glory of all that imagination can create, we as human enjoy transcendency.In reality the only difference with any living creature is form and nature, we share intelligence and life. Philosophers and Theologian enjoy words, by the billions and books by the millions! Animals have only one ambition, live life to the best they can. They are the Masters of living, if we could adapt our bodily and mind versatility to their pragmatism the world would become paradise, no war would ever happened.

"I cannot grasp all that I am." Saint Augustine of Hippo said these words in the forth century c.e. Here in the 21st century, we've experienced the Age of Reason (which was vaporized at Hiroshima) and the Enlightenment. Yet this collection of intellectuals still can't grasp all that we are. I think I'll look somewhere else.

Everything are different forms of one source. Yes free will exist in consciousness. In high level of consciousness. One supreme source have high levels of conscious. One source have conscious but not differences forms. Consciousness means power of handling universe. If I get power than i may discriminate my saying my and yours... me others But supreme source never discriminate. Controlling stages of mind according to time and needs= consciousness.

Being eternal, we're never created. Only the manifestations of matter are created, included our bodies. And they're also destroyed in due course of time. Our eternal identity is at the core of our temporary identity, which may be compared to a glove inserted on an hand. Although the glove resembles it, it's not the hand.

Much like I've been thinking lately. The origin as a perfect sphere, with interaction as a circle around that sphere, a perimeter that descends as linear line segments, space time. The balance of two movements, a lens like dilation and linear segments, that produces an imperfect sphere (imperfect since it contains both lens and linear actions) and this is moving up and down levels as it appears to us, but none of it perfect. Examples of objects with linear segment perimeters would be atoms, proton with electron 'shell' that (one interpretation) is electrons like a bucket brigade, passing charge along. Another might be quarks with spin and super positions. Nucleus of a cell with protein chains, and polarized lipids. Human culture emulating this, a Superbowl match with linear points that gain value when added, a crowd that expands and contracts to balance each individual unit person, the stadium as the object containing both these movements, each person having these two also, the awareness as an object and time segments (experiences). Dying means rejoining the line segments back into a circle.

Thanks. It is very interesting and important observation made by Stephen Evens about "addiction". I suppose a similar phenomenon occurs to question of "belief". It is very hard for one to abandon one's addicted belief even after discovering the true truth about it is faulty or a false belief. Apparently neither words no swords can change one belief! It is a good reason to examine one belief.... is it a true belief based on the truth or only addiction belief?

Nope, monism; panqualism; homeostasis generally (or the failure of homeostasis?) has quality. What you do has consequence; by that, your spirit, lives on; maybe.
