Arboreal tarantulas are more resistant to falls, given their smaller builds and longer legs, they have a better chance of surviving falls than a regular fossorial or terrestrial tarantula. This doesn’t mean they’re immune, but it gives them a better shot at surviving.

Yes, the tarantulas that live on the ground a.k.a. the terrestrial species of tarantulas yes, they cannot handle a fall but this tarantula is an arboreal species that lives in the trees, and they are known to jump and shoot poop at you 😂

Arboreal are fall resistant, they won’t get hurt. But other species can. Especially when they have a big abdomen they can die from falling.

@@Visionary- depends on the tarantula. Most terrestrial tarantula can only basically see shadow and very close low resolution images. Arboreal eyesight like this guys is a little better but not as good as a lot of spiders (ogre faced spider comes to mind).
