I got brave and tried to make sticky rice in a rice cooker, it tasted good, but it was overly sticky. Am I supposed to let it cool first?

Pepper Corn my kids mistakenly put sticky rice in the rice cooker once. It turned out okay because we didn’t eat it right away. If you let the water dry off a bit it would be ok.

Thank you, I will try that next time. I had rice sticking all over my hands and fingers. Good thing no one was here when I was eating it because they would have thought I had lost my mind. I really like your videos on how to cook Lao food, it looks so delicious. I went to an Asian market yesterday and picked up some things. I want to try Papaya Salad first.

you should use less water, but it'll be a little stickier than cooking it in a bamboo basket steamer...the taste won't be the same nor the fragrance.
