im from South Carolina and the first time I heard this song I was convinced it was a southern black man singing lmao, can't believe he's a white Australian
@MrMmnngghh7 жыл бұрын
He's from Darwin. Grew up playing country & western with the local indigenous people, has North American parents. Hence the culture blend.
@e.t.4646 жыл бұрын
I hear people relating him to Tom Waits or some thing els of these days but I couldnt disagree more. I am hearing some Old black southern man, relatable to Screamin Jay Hawkins, or R.L. Burnside, or Lead Belly, or Howling Wolf. This is wild.
@brianmurphy53136 жыл бұрын
you could disagree more, considering Tom Waits has near always been compared to those very same greats.

Because the creators agreed that they would never use the term "zombie" on the show. --- From eonline: "Ever wonder why The Walking Dead calls zombies everything but the word? They're walkers, biters, floaters, geeks, lurkers, roamers, rotters-you get the point. They're everything but zombies. Robert Kirkman is here to explain why. Kirkman, who is the comic book co-creator and executive producer on the series, explained to Conan O'Brien the real reason why zombies aren't called zombies by any of the characters. Zombies didn't exist in The Walking Dead world before the outbreak. "Well, zombie lore is very popular. We wanted to avoid that notion of, ‘Hey, why doesn't that character just shooting that zombie in the head because it saw all those movies I saw.' We wanted to kind of give you a sense that The Walking Dead takes place in a universe where zombie fiction doesn't exist," Kirkman said on Conan."
@deLlama3 жыл бұрын
@@raveythirteen5660 that's in-universe though. Music used in the soundtrack wouldn't count as anyone on the show saying "zombie", assuming you don't imagine the characters can hear the music we hear while watching the show. That said, I don't think the song is a good fit for the show purely because it's about a zombie, that's not how soundtracks are done, so I'd say the real reason they haven't used this song is one of these reasons: 1) they've never heard it or 2) it didn't seem to them that it would work well as the music for any particular scene or 3) they tried and couldn't get permission
