personally single target will never be dehya's speciality. I also think that burgeon or a sub dps roll make more sense to go that route IMO. I willing to say dehya will never be top tier, but mono pyro is just bad since the other reactions do well with em builds with low investment, also single target enemies put her at a distinct disadvantage to have her onfield for a long time. Personally it makes more since for someone like the wanderer, xiao, or Hu Tao to be the on field unit to maximize their dmg through lost hp by using the hyper armor through their dps window and rotate in dehya than the on field. I would like to see you try the team I built using the burgeon method despite it being dolphin team I used. Nahida c0, kokomi c1, ayato c0, and dehya c1 in a burgeon set up can easily clear floor 12. Now for the melt setup I build for her was actually Rosaria, kazuha, yao yao and dehya to get a reverse melt going as Rosaria as a driver

But she's a good Phys Sub DPS. off-topic though, this reply section gave me a great idea for the 8th "element". Fun fact from Xinyan mains. When you build her for her c6 with Def build, if you do her charge attack and immediately burst out of it, she keeps the atk buff long enough for it to affect her burst. So def build can actually function as well as her atk one.

Xinyan's main and probably only real issue is her split scaling. However, you can build her fully into DEF for shields or fully into ATK for damage. Whereas with Dehya even that is not possible because both her skill and burst damage is split scaled. And that's on top of her energy issues, low multipliers, etc. etc.

That support is Mika.... at c6. The 3.5 livestream revealed his kit but his kit was already fully revealed during beta. He actually gives nothing for Eula. She won't recieve his buff because of how long her burst wind-up is. For Physical Fischl/Xinyan he'll be good. At c0 he's Okayage but at c6 he's decent (his c6 increases Physical crit damage by 50). I'm convinced that he is designed for futute Physical characters since he doesn't even work with Eula the only 5 star Physical dps and even at c6 would still be worse than rosaria or diona due to energy. Physical Fischl is actually really run to play all things considered and much better than Xinyan due to bows not having hit lag and her being an actual good element for Physical. Note in this video that Physical Xinyan team has awful energy regeneration and a c2 5 five that cost upwards to 200+ pulls. She is getting hyper buff by her teammates and the average f2p to Welkin player will not be able to reach those numbers. It can do 300k damage every 2 minutes. That may sound like a lot until you realize floor 12 has millions of hp and you have to clear within an reasonable 90 seconds on each side. If you do the math with the team in the video it won't be having an great time and you will struggle. I pulled for Dehya fully knowing how crap she was and made her 'functional' in a hypercarry team with Mona, and Bennett. But they must have 300 er and she must have 200. People focus too much on attack and crit and never focus on ER which is the most important thing imo and then are surprised when the team feels crap to play not to mention not researching enough. Edit: My hopium for Physical is that it will get its time to shine in Fontaine (4.0) or Snezhnaya (6.0). I personally look at leaks and I'll respect the people who don't won't any spoilers aside for elements of future 4.0 characters with no other details. Although there is no details or confirmations within the community it does seem like a lot more cryo and electro characters are coming based off of the designs. 2.0 brought meta as a whole as the game mechanics came common knowledge. 3.0 flipped the Vaporize, Freeze, Taser meta on it's side with dendro making EM extremely valuable and making it easy to get high damage fast. 4.0 might introduce shields that may only to able to be cracked via Brute force or introduce enemies that can you shot you. I honestly have no clue what 4.0 holds meta wise and it probably won't reveal itself until 3.7/8 but I'm excited after the back to back dendro characters.

With C6 Xinyan, you can get more damage out of her burst by dash cancelling out of a charged attack after hitting with her skill. C6 works differently than it's worded. While she's charged attacking, her attack is buffed by 50% of her defense, and that lingers just long enough that you can hit with her burst with a dash cancel.

Wouldn't another character be better to compare Xinyan and Dehya to than Alhaitham? I would honestly go for someone like Diluc since there were already people comparing him with Dehya (both of them being on the standard banner). Alhaitham raw damage is not his strength, as you said, since dendro needs to work with reactions. Diluc would be another pyro DPS who would use the same supports instead of going for a different team. Maybe if you don't have C0 Diluc (because I don't think you do tbh), someone could let you borrow their account for the showdown?

Xinyan doesn't need the superconduct just give her Zhongli and Gorou. Both Zhon and Xin shred phys resist while Xin buffs phys damage, giving a similar effect. Gor adds Def which benefits Xin's kit and Redhorns passive. Though, since your bennet is C6, you'll have to use someone else to buff her burst damage. Could probably go with Mona or Sara, but then there's no one to give particles to Xin, unless you go full favonious team

This video, while perfectly highlighting the issues with Dehya's kit (literally losing to Xinyan in Pyro damage, despite the latter not even being made for that), managed to surprise me a lot more than I first expected. I definitely did not expect Physical Xinyan to be so good, and now that we know that we are getting what's basically a Physical Sara for Physical characters, she could actually see a comeback, and a really good one... I'm now looking forward to Mika's release, and his impact on Physical characters.

Personally, though, I'd have liked to see Kokomi, as I think she is the character that, design intent-wise, has the most in common with Dehya. So then you have a defensive, off-field elemental applicator who plays at being DPS during their burst with something to limit their ceiling potential on one side, and the female pyro claymore user on the other... the two characters with the most in common.

It's mainly because of the bottom half is really not being suited for Alhaitham at all, being a lot of light enemies and CC-dependent whilst his best teams are usually single-target oriented and better for bossing/heavy mobs. The damage thresholds are low enough (usually only around 1 million HP per chamber if you have good AoE) that grouping and AoE coverage matter more than DPS. If he did the test on the top half which has more than double the HP per chamber (even excluding the ASIMON quicken check) Alhaitham would pull ahead significantly.
