Dialogue of the Desert Sages (4.5 event weapon) is now Yaoyao's 2nd best option! Slightly more HP than Rightful Reward, and easier to proc the passive. Still not as good as Favonius Lance with its energy utility for the entire team.

I love her design and personality. But needing to have her on-field for the duration of her Q isn't good. The damage and healing is too low to justify the amount of field time required for it. I would have liked to see her throw her entire basket on the ground instead and then allow different characters to swap on field instead.

The need to stay on field for that long is annoying, but i disagree with you saying that the healing is too low. Her kit isn't perfect, but you must find a way to include her in your rotation...

Yeah that would be really cool and much less restrictive. Personally am ok with the 5 second burst time because I'm a frequent Ayato user, but for certain teams like aggravate it can get kinda tricky with rotations and you end up just treating her burst as an emergency button for the sake of easier rotations. I think her healing is fine though. Especially now with Rightful Reward.

Agree! I absolutely love her. I put deeowoods on her, drop the bunny so it hits over and over, switch to Nahida with 800EM and the Widsith and watch everything melt away, with the help of Furina adding hydro. Great fun!

Finally someone is showing her love. She has been my #1 dendro user since she was first released. Her heals are great her burst is hella strong healing the whole team. I have Al and just pulled nahida but I prefer her over them.

I really hope we are getting more 4 stars like yaoyao, chevreuse and gaming in the future, they are in my opinion what 4 stars should be: Pretty good at C0 with a niche they fulfill as well as being good enough to not be a downgrade to another character while still having constellations that elevate them to the level of a 5 star character. This way everyone is happy, people who only have low constellations still have a competent usable character and people who get lucky enough/play for a longer time get an incredibly strong character

Yaoyao has so much healing in her kit at base that you're better off building her as a burst dps. She does a lot of damage and still heals your team to full. Hell, if her kit had the 3 hit ICD rule, she'd be the best dps in the game or damned close to it.

My aggravate team is Clorinde, Fischl, Yao Yao and Kazuha. Is it still possible if I use Deepwood on Yao Yao to increase her personal damage? My idea is: using the Dialogues polearm (for better er regen), deepword for dendro res (personal dmg increase). For artifs: HP/EM sands, DMG goblet and Healing circlet.

Yup! That's why it's still viable, just with caveats since Yaoyao's skill stops targeting the ally after they reach 70%+ HP (which means you want melee characters to get hit by radish explosions that hit enemies).

I’m building her for Nilou team with Kokomi and Nahida, I’m considering tenacity for general but it’s 4pc isn’t that useful for EM Koko or even hybrid Nahida, is her dendro reliable enough to transfer some of nahida arts to her and give Nahida dreams set?

I use her with Nahida too. I put Deepwoods on Yaoyao so the CD resets from bunny attacks, drop her bunny, switch to Nahida DPS/EM build and watch everything melt away.

Not answering your question. But my bloom team is nilou, nahida, koko and yaoyao. Nilou - 2 +2 hp%, hp% mainstat Nahida - dm em Koko - gilded full em, Yaoyao-instructor, er hp% healing. Before getting a good instructor(high er so she can burst easier) I just use 2+2 em, er hp hp(can use healing if got pair, I don't keep healing most of the time for em piece that why I just use hp)

I have one question, if I want to build supports purely for their support value, do I need to have cd/cr on them ??? I'm building faruzan for my wanderer, I out everything into her ER I did same for Benny boi, I crowned his burst and put all in ER and gave him mistsplitter. Do I need CD/CR for more damage or does it not matter?? Also i have 979EM Nahida, so I'm thinking of finally building xingqui, so do i need cd/cr on him or EM ?? This is soooo confusing for me

Only time it matters really is if you’re running Favonius weapons were you can aim for 30ish Crit Rate depending on how high refinement the weapon is But for the most part a CR/CD ratio isn’t necessary for supports especially for characters that need other main stats for their capabilities like Bennett with ER or Nahida with EM

I don't have a resource specifically for the basic mechanics, but I'm sure if you search KZbin there are plenty of other great creators who have made videos on the way stats and reactions work. Don't build EM on Xingqiu for bloom because that's where your Raiden, Kuki, Thoma, etc. comes in with full EM builds to determine the damage of a hyperbloom or burgeon reaction. To answer your first question, you don't need to focus any CR/CD on supports in general because crit is like an "all or nothing" type of stat. For example, with Bennett if you split your focus between full support (HP/ER) and crit (CR/CD) then you'll most likely end up with mediocre crit stats that amount to very little DPS increases because you're not critting often. Most people will say to just give Benny as much HP and ER for the best support with his burst, then let your actual DPS characters handle the damage dealing duty. Hopefully this is clear enough through text!

Main problem of yaoyao is her oustandingly bad dendro application. Worst among _all_ dendro characters.

@@user-zq5dh6jr8n Yaoyao's off-field dendro app is single-target and has big downtime and low uptime. Her entire dendro app is locked on-field and only when she is running. Literally any other dendro unit, repeating, any dendro unit applies more dendro than her. She is healer but hyperbloom has kuki, nilou bloom has hydro healers, in spread/aggravate she is bad. Borderline playable, not recommend.
