I'm coming back after a year, just retrieved my certificate. I want to thank you so much for all the materials you've been uploading here for everyone (and especially, for free!!) Thank you a lot for these videos. Over like 10 of them I increased my average from 21/30 to 27/30. In my cambridge exams, I made the listening part without a single mistake and it carried my overall mark into A1 (C2 level), so thank you again for these videos, I would literally not get it without these. (but warning to everyone who is going to the the cambridge exams as well. In these videos in the last part, the speaker always does left exercise first and right exercise second. In the cambridge version, it is random, someone starts left and someone right.)

@@manuelmoraled9831 You can use these videos to get used to hearing things they usually ask in the exam. It is the same as with many tests - knowing what to look (listen) for can get you many bonus points. The more important, less time effective thing is to know the vocabulary and know the grammar, you can't get around that. If understanding B2 listening is a big problem, forget time (and grading in general) and look up everything you don't understand (words, tenses, structures, just everything) on the internet and find sources that explain said thing. (or if you have time, take a while until you take those exams and learn english the "usual" way)

21/30. I hate how these tests never give you enough time to write your answers down or think for a second about what you 've just heard... if you lose time on a single question you mess everything up. I need to keep practicing I guess, maybe I'll get used to it.

Hi!! I know your comment is weeks old, but I hope I can help you with my answer :) I also struggled with that one! I think the key is that the man says: "I've seen better camera work, too. At times that looked more like a home video" (so he is saying that the people who made the documentary are amateurs). The problem (the tricky part, let's say) is that then the woman answered: "There were some nice shots, though. Especially those taken from above the tree tops." And the man said: "Yes, they were very much the exceptions, and they must have paid some actual professionals quite a lot to get those". This sentence is referring to those specific shots, the ones from above the tree tops, as exceptions. The rest of the documentary was pretty bad, in the man's opinion. I hope this helped!! 🙂

In parenthesis, you find optional words. However, if you try to guess them and make mistakes, you'll get 0. For instance, if the correct answer is "(good) friend" and you write "friend" it is ok, but if you write "bad friend" you'll get 0.
