This is what I'm trying to tell my neurologist but they gave me basic migraine meds that sound dangerous without me getting my cardio appointments out of the way first. I just wanted them to X-ray / do imaging of my vertebrae going from my heart area/between shoulders up into my skull, especially right where your animation was pointing out. Ehlers Danlos syndrome shouldn't be unknown to everyone else in the facility except the genetics department where the diagnosis happens. Thanks so much for making all these videos and helping so many people!!

@@wesporter2176 the upper cervical chiro that I saw made my situation much worse! I have weakened ligaments/connective tissue, so chiro for my neck was never a good idea! After seeing the upper cervical chiro, I then had a whole new problem: trigeminal neuralgia! To this day, i cannot put pressure on my scalp or face! I do not recommend chiropractor's to anyone. It can also cause seizures. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy because of it but my dad brought me to a chiropractor after the hospital's couldn't figure it out. After a treatment plan the vertebrae stopped pressing on my vagus nerve and my grand mal seizures stopped completely. It's been about 13 years and I haven't had a seizure of any kind since. This seems to be something that people haven't quite figured out yet that really would help a lot of seizure sufferers and even rid them of their seizures completely like it did for me.

@CaringmedicalProlotherapy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Travis, Sorry to hear about your C2. But glad that your chiropractor is helping! Ideally, it gets to a point where the vertebra is stable. If it is not staying, then the ligament laxity and spinal instability consultation may be beneficial to get to the bottom of why it won't stay in place. We feel that there should be an endpoint with treatments for pain, unless an occasional tune up in extreme cases. But if someone requires weekly adjustments, there may be other issues at play with the ligaments. Something for you to consider if the problem continues. Hope it doesn't though. Wish you all the best. Take care!

I was officially diagnosed with Ankylosis Spondylitis (autoimmune disorder) on August 14th 2023. Unfortunately, I received treatment late and because of this, AS caused extensive damage to my spine creating multiple auto fusions on C1 C2 C3 C5 C6, mild basilar invagination and even IDR (idiopathic condylar resorption). I had surgery November 28th. Go back for my follow up December Monday 11. I don’t have the pop and grinding anymore!! I’m starting to feel like a new person. Once I heal from spine surgery then I can have my IDR surgery.

Hi SkThe Janner, thanks for your comment. The symptoms that people suffer through with upper cervical instability are just terrible, which it sounds like you experienced firsthand, enough so to get a surgical procedure. Prolotherapy is an alternative to fusion surgery. It is a regenerative medicine treatment that helps the ligaments to stabilize and the instability/shifting of the vertebrae normalize. Glad you are doing well. Thanks again for reaching out. Take care.

I have had my problem for some years - migraine every day which I assumed with a 20 year history of migraine, was radiation of pain into my neck. It was then identified that I had C2/3 inflammation and had a series of cortisone injections under CT. These gave limited relief. An exacerbation of symptoms recently has left me with a permanent migraine and neck pain from top to bottom level C7/T1 and a burning sensation across my right shoulder (same side as neck pain and migraine.) I notice that I can take something to help me sleep but as soon as I get up the pain comes back pretty much instantly and gets worse during the day - so much so that I have missed weeks off work. I have had scans including bone scans - and am scheduled for C4/5 cortisone-a radiologist colleague believes it is actually a problem with my occipital nerve and I am now in pain but totally confused - and really just want relief soon. I do have blurred vision, sensitivity to noise, intense migraine, twitching nerve in my eye, and pain throughout my neck - some tingling of my scalp - I am not a happy camper at present and due to injection later this week -

How long does this treatment last? How does it correct the initial MOI or cause of disc issues?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy9 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, Prolotherapy stimulates the body to repair, and therefore, once the body is able to do that, it is repaired unless there is a re-injury. Then it just degenerates at the normal rate of the rest of the body. The disc issues are generally the result of the ligament laxity/joint instability. That is why we focus on resolution of the instability because that is the root cause of the problem. If you would like to talk with us more specifically about your case, please contact us directly through our website: caringmedical.com. Take care for now, and thanks for reaching out.

Specific positions can cause symptoms to worsen - it is likely that this is happening to you. If you are able to get a DMX this would be the best way to see instability, along with an ultrasound of your vagus nerve and IJV. If these are damaged or compressed it is likely there is instability and it needs to be treated!

What does it cost to come see you? And what insurance do you partner with?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kae Lou, Thanks for the question. Our prices are always on our website CaringMedical.com. Most insurance does not cover specialty treatments for chronic pain (and primarily stick to covering only some medications, steroid injections, and potentially a surgery after enough time has passed) and so we are out of network. With that said, from our patient's feedback, Medishare has covered our patients the best, and patients can use FSA or HSA funds for care outside of their network, as many patients with those plans know for covering chiropractic care, and other common treatments that are not covered by traditional insurance plans.

Have very weird sensation in this area of neck. Can this lead to a weird feeling of numb brain, eyes hyper focusing on nothing and kinda spaced out feeling like I'm actually being DUH? Hard to describe. I feel like I'm about to have a focal seizure which I had 30 years ago but that came out of nowhere. Current weirdness I'm feeling is a constant except when I first wake up in the morning.

I played golf, and on swinging the driver I twisted my head and felt an electric shock and pain in my neck and head and collapsed, the following day I had balance difficulties and had the sensation of pins and needles in my right leg and foot. Now 4 years later I can hardly use my right leg or foot, and have major concentration and balance difficulties with other loss of sensation.. I have had several mri' s and each different neurologist has told me something different, from a stroke to motor neuron, and not one has considdered the injury from twisting my neck. All along I have known that there is a neck compression on nerves, and this video points to exactly that

CT scans was inconclusive, but I'm going for a flexion and extension X ray on the 17th of Feb. Would the X ray show anything, or should I rather go for a rotation X ray? Thanks for your question. Without seeing you in person it's hard to make a proper comment on your overall posture and why you have lumps on your neck. It does sound like you may want to consider seeing someone who specializes in manual therapies who can tell you more.

I just had an adjustment today because I had a migraine that was out of this world for a week. He said that it's usually my C1 on the left, but today it was on the right. I couldn't think straight, have problems remembering words, can't concentrate, sinus issues, and extreme fatigue. I didn't know it could cause that. I'm wondering why my C1 goes out so much. I know I have forward head carriage (trying to work on that with a neck brace and a traction pillow) but I'm tired of this. I'm in Texas. Can you explain what's in that shot?

I'm dealing with some cervical issues and currently seeing a chiropractor. The adjustments have helped substantially, and compared to a previous doctor doing adjustment (an osteopath), my current doctor's adjustments are much less "violent". Still, it does seem that my joints pop more frequently without much effort. I'm not having any negative symptoms, but I wonder if that is an early indication of ligaments getting weakened. Do you have any scientific reports that I could read to help me understand the condition better, as well as any dealing showing clinical efficacy of prolotherapy? I do have a PhD (neuroscience), so I do generally prefer to read journal articles when determining a course of treatment. Granted, often there are enough variables and conflicting reports to make such an analysis inconclusive. Thanks!
