I never had stock wheels so can't say, but it would not clear my old diamond racing steel wheels because of the inner diameter of the barrel where the seams were

Does that kit clear 15s pretty good I used the little shop mfg kit and my caliper hitting the wheel

My old steel 15's tapered down inside the barrel and didn't clear. When I switched to an aluminum Holeshot wheel I had no clearance issues.

I’ve been looking at captain fabs setup for D52 for a couple of years. Finding Elderado calipers so I can have an E-brake is a PITA though.

What is the RED vise grip holding together? it's at 5:50 on the lower right of the screen.

Its pinch clamp not a vice grip. Its holding rubber secondary return/bypass line for the hydroboost out of the steering cooler. It was not connected at that time as I was bleeding the system.

Could you briefly explain why you need to recheck pushrod length?

If the pushrod is too long, it can be attempting to apply hydraulic pressure at rest, or under less force than would normally be applied, since the rod would be engaging the master to "early" on its length. In a hydroboost setup, it can also cause the pedal to kick back from the hydraulic force and can actually kick the rod OUT of the master. Makes bleeding and tuning the system a pita

@revJ I have the big Gm calibers and the Astro rotors the 1.25 they are tight, you said that there were some 1inch rotors that will work. Do you have the info on them?

1" thick d52 rotors exist, but I don't know if they exist in this particular application (keeping in mind that these are Astro fronts being used on the back). There are 1" thick rotor applications on some of the C10's, but they wouldn't be this profile with the extra tall hat.

What is a d52 caliper? Can I buy it in a kit? Can I put it on my stock 12 bolt if I buy the bracket?

D52 is the oldschool "fullsize" GM caliper that was on trucks and fullsize cars.Its the caliper that came off the front of my truck. Companies like Wilwood make aftermarket versions of it (which is what I swapped up front). The bracket is made by a guy named CaptainFab, who used to be on the 67-72trucks forums.
