My oldest brother had a 69 Goat when I was in high school. The Goat had the 400cid (6.6L) with Auto trans, with the tick tock tach on the double ram functional hood and the Big Rubber front bumper with the vacuum head lite door's the posi rear end 4:11 gears. Black buckets black GTO interior with the full gauge option. The color was a light metallic blue from the factory. The only thing that I have left from my brother's GTO is the Hurst His/Her's auto floor shifter. I wanted that Goat so much but my brother sold it to a friend of mine that graduated with me Eddy let the Goat set for many years at his folks before he sold it. The two men that bought the Goat walk away very happy indeed... I always wanted to own one when they were not so much $$$$ but now it's impossible for me they cost way too much to own now $$$$... Hey quick question. Where are you finding all the torque specs for the crossmember to frame rail bolts? I have the shop manual for my 63 and it only specs the “crossmember to frame” at 60-80 lbs. it does not say for the crossmember to lower frame rail. Do you know where more detailed diagrams and specs can be found? What did you use for torque on crossmember to lower frame rail? I also have the factory assembly manual but it dosent show. Help?! Edit: I should clarify 60-80 lbs is crossmember to side of frame, the lower frame rail I believe is higher? I bought all new grade 8 and installed yesterday.
