Good job man I'm doing a 90 c3500. I was thinking about this instead of the bench. Had to die grinder the seat riser so bucket seats it is lol
@fernandoorozco3764 Жыл бұрын
Did you drill through the heatshield under the truck on the passenger side for the inner bolts?
@matthew1er4 жыл бұрын
Glad I seen this.. I thought it would be a direct bolt in for the bucket seats.
@DrivenbyGears4 жыл бұрын
Well sort of is minus the inner nuts not being there

So I have a 98 obs and I looked to see if I had to drill holes and my floor had a factory bolt on and I have to drill one hole in the floor, should I just weld a piece of metal to the floor then thread it?

I got a 1998 Chevy single cab and I was wanting to put some seating In from a 2005 with a center console, would it be the same way ?
@DrivenbyGears3 жыл бұрын
You just have to drill all new holes

I have a 90 Silverado 1500 step side single cab I'd like to mount some aftermarket seats possibly bench with center console what years can I possibly search for Not necessarily aftermarket but out of a donor vehicle
@DrivenbyGears4 жыл бұрын
Any of the 90s will bolt right up ext cab or single cab don't matter. Some later models will fit you just have to make new holes i modified my old bench frame and used it to mount racing seats which in my opinion is the smarter move cause bolts right up.

I wanted to do this too man I’m really thinking about it

What coating is it that you have on your floor? Do you put primer, then rubberized sealant to prevent rust?
@DrivenbyGears4 жыл бұрын
Its trex protective coatings. No need for primer unless got bare metal.

I have a 96 std cab that I'm trying to convert from bench to buckets, question is how many holes would I need to drill in my floor?
@DrivenbyGears4 жыл бұрын
Only the inner 4 bolts the outer are the same if you get buckets from the same kind of obs. I choose to weld mine just so I would have to hold the bottom.
@CulturedCactus4 жыл бұрын
@@DrivenbyGears thanks for the response! I saw and knew it was out of my wheelhouse lol but I can drill 4 holes and put bolts through them

@@DrivenbyGears would drilling then threading the holes be an option?

Not enough metal, if welded plates maybe underneath
