I love you information that provide, I will have my CDL next month. I am going to the oilfield to work, but I have a chance to get a government contract. I am purchasing a truck, I want a Tri-Axles for the government work. Should I just buy a regular tandem truck. Or make the jump for the Tri-Axles. I will have tanker and hazmat endorsements. Do you think having a RGN locks a person into certain types of loads, compared to a good step deck that would be able to be used for a wider variety of freight? I know RGN pays better, but are there enough loads to justify getting the RGN instead of a step? Are permits and pilots an issue, when you start getting the rates you can with an RGN?
