I work at port in Jersey. We call that trailer a “Mofet trailer”. We use it to move oversized loads around the pier. Those chains are basically just to keep the load from moving on the ship. There was probably twice that many securing it on the ship

C1, I just recently found your channel. It popped up in my feed. I’ve been in this for many years but not full time. I do pull reefers also. Since the mandate of elogs in Dec. of 2017, regular freight hauling has been a mess. Heavy-haul/specialized works better with elogs. It’s not perfect either but regular freight hauling involves constantly running in front of the clock. It’s a continual race. Thank you for posting these videos.

I hate I sold my 379 heavy hauler and 55ton rgn, but my insurance went up like $15k for no reason other than I haul a lot for loggers and they said that was reason. Equipment is equipment, but they had me listed as hauling logs, which I did some, but how, idk, but every other insurance company I called had same crazy prices when I tried to change companies. That is standard lashing Chain they use on ships and barges to lash the cargo down to the deck. I was a merchant Mariner for 12 years and we would use thosoe same chains to lash heavy equipment to the barge deck So the Machinery didn't shift or try to roll off the barge going across the Gulf of Alaska. Hope that kind of gives a little idea they are pretty tough chains.
