I just took 15’ wide wind mill concrete mold rings from TX to IL on my stepdeck. First time using pilot cars. It was stressful. Some of the construction zones on the permitted route were still too skinny. But I was high enough to clear Jersey barriers.

Watching these last two vids, just my preference, I like the split screen view v. Picture in Picture. Now that I’m caught up it’s time to start over and take notes. You truly keep it real about the how, what, when, why of heavy haul. Driving class A for ten years and only last year finally got into flatbed. I might be 53 but I can throw chains, straps and tarp as good or better than the young fellas and ladies.

Motivational speaker is Eric Thomas, he is pure fire. I’d like to get into heavy haul and did flatbed but 99% of the loads were tarp and I had two back surgeries. That tarting especially when wet was a struggle. Would like to take another try but man the pain. With LANDSTAR now and another driver told me to just book no tarp loads but afraid that may not help me to maximize my opportunities to get to heavy.
