I like all the factory mods, I always thought these were neat back when they came out. I never realized how much glass there was, really cool especially for a car almost 20 years old.

I have to replace my whole sunroof assembly, the plastic and diecast metals parts just exploded due to dryness. It went from working perfectly the first year to OMG OMG WTF!!! I can open it slightly to raise it but not moving it backwards and the cover works when it wants to hahaha. I had put extra film on the glass because I like the cover open but glass closed or else I can't hear my new soundsystem how I want to hear it. LOUD and obnoxious! So, now I have 114K miles on it, had put in new rotors, pads, rims, tires and I do alot of the minor repairs myself, such as purge valve and hoses replacements. It has been a great car for me considering I do lots of streets and hills. NO LEAKS. I put about 6000. into upgrades, mounts, certain code issues or fuel tank neck leak repair. And I put new coils and plugs so it purrrrssss.

I picked up one of these '03s at an estate sale recently, driven only 5800 mi. per year and all records, working fine at 93K mi. in 2020. Getting used to it, I need to put a CD player in the glove box is all.

Very nice, hope i can find one like this. Have any ideea if prefacelift version as yours with M271 instead of M111 have rust problems? Or only the ones with facelift have better rust treatment? All M111 have rust issue then? I read somewhere that mercedes treated rust problem from 2003 (pre facelift) but not on all cars.. im's so confused in choosing the right one, since i see a lot of prefacelift in nice condition at low prices..
