A Full Walkthrough of a C2C class 357 Electrostar (4 carriage) train.
This video is a full walkthrough all 4 carriages which are standard class throughout. The class 357 with C2C have been with C2C since they were introduced and are one of the earliest Electrostar trains.
There are 3 main variations to the C2C class 357 with 2 main interior layouts. Both versions of the class 357 operate on all C2C routes. All C2C services feature only standard class and the class 357 are all in 4 carriage formations.
The interior shown in this video is the lower density seating layout with 2+2 seats throughout with the other interior layout featuring 2+3 seating although the seats themselves are the same. As the seats in this train are designed to accommodate 2+3 seating this version has larger than usual aisles with large standing areas.
The class 357 operate on all C2C routes and are the only C2C rolling stock for most of the day with limited peak time services previously operated by class 387 units and may be operated by new Aventra trains in the future. The class 357 often work as single units off peak with 8 and 12 carriage formations used at busier times. C2C operate out of London Fenchurch Street (alongside Liverpool Street on weekends) towards Barking, Grays, Basildon, Pitsea, Southend and Shoeburyness
Note that as this was filmed on a C2C service as it approached the end of its journey during an off peak weekday service which often see fairly quiet C2C services between West Ham and Fenchurch Street especially.
