True, many systems are really on the borderline, such as Fortaleza (included) and Seville (not included) and Tyne & Wear, Newcastle (not included), just to name a few. Sources tend to disagree on those, making it difficult to make a proper listing. Mam prawdziwe poczucie luksusu jeżdżąc warszawskim metrem.

Next year Bangkok will be up from 140 km existing heavy rail metro to include 65 km of new monorail metro system, and another 35 km of heavy rail metro again in the next few years (hopefully). If you include commuter rail (that just opened), the airport link now (30km) and the monorail system, the total length in Bangkok will be 275 km. If all goes well, Bangkok will have 540 km of urban railway within 2030 (IMO 2040 is more realistic)

@Acela21632 жыл бұрын
Metros don't have to be underground. The first line of what would become the NYC Subway was the 9th Avenue El, which opened in 1868. Like London, Chicago, and many other cities on the list, the line was not upgraded to "Metro" standards until later on. Of course, all of that is moot since the Ninth Avenue Line was demolished in 1940.

@williamthierry597610 ай бұрын
@totre-hv5jb5 ай бұрын
@Travelmaniacguide4 ай бұрын
@1312_PV3 ай бұрын

If considered maglev rapid transportation systems (which should be considered as I saw Wuhu metro listed here which is a monorail system with all stations above the ground currently) there should be Fenghuang Maglev opened May 1st., 2022. Actually Istanbul metro’s history is going back to 1875. First underground rail (metro) in İstanbul strated to operate in 1875, under the name “tünel” with only one line and two stations. The big network was built almost 100 years later. So İstanbul s info should be updated in the video as “1875”
