C2C Leg 3 Riding the NEW SR-50 Sumter Gap Bike Trail

This was the most dangerous part of my C2C Journey. I started off on the cement trail next to SR-50/Cortez Blvd in Ridge Manor. Then I made it passed US 301 where all of the bad construction was going on. People were saying this was too dangerous to ride on but, I think if we time our rides right, that the traffic on SR-50 isn't so bad. I started off after 11 am. I got up about 8 am and heard and saw thart the traffic was heavy and bad and I remembered from living in Panama that there was a break in the traffic usually after 10 am the traffic lightened up so, I waited for the same thing to happen up here.
What an exciting asphalt trail that I found from Bruwell Rd to CR 751. It was about 8 miles of asphalt. There was at least one animal tunnel that went under SR-50.
