I saw some construction going on to the East of the Publix at Starkey Ranch. If you ever rode on the trail next to Rangeland Blvd it ends behind the Publix there. There is a dead end there with the red diamond signs up but, it looks like it could turn into an extension. That is where the plans are showing it's going to go and then towards SR-54. There is a dirt trail there too now that I looked at Google Maps and it just dead ends before it hits the Suncoast Trail. I almost rode in there one day when the gate was left open but, I didn't feel like having to go a long way on it and then having to turn around. Here's the link to the red diamond signs on Google Maps. You can navigate towards SR-54 and just before SR-54 on the left you can see some some construction going on and the dirt road or path that I am talking about. maps.app.goo.gl/n2dqWkrMHt6zoNZZ7 The Orange Belt Trail is supposed to run through part of that around there.

Do cell phone towers emit high emf waves? What about electronic billboards?
@Phonamana4 күн бұрын
Yes, cell tower emit some high waves. I haven't done a reading test in a long time but, when I got the EMF Reader, I was checking out high wires and cell phone towes around there, up near Starkey Wilderness Park, At the entrance to Starkey Ranch where I have also been shocked before. There was also a pedestrian bridge around Mile Marker 5 on the Pinellas Trail where there is a power station that put the power lines very close to us and the reading were high but, because we're behind a fence there, it acts like a shield similar to how microwaves have a shield fence built in. By the way, people should stand more than 3 feet from a microwave when it goes off. What's weird is alarm clocks emit some frequencies too and most people have them right next to their heads.

Nice ride. Was shocked when you showed the screw in your back tire in that you have no tread. How is that safe in rain?
@Phonamana7 күн бұрын
That is the way that the continental Grand Prix 5000 tires start to look after riding them for the 1st couple of rides. After 4,800 miles that rear one is still good. That tire was originally put on the front at the same time that I put one on the back but, after my C2C ride, I rotated my tires which I wish I had rotated before after 6 months of riding which was before, instead of after the C2C. I got 8,000 miles on one tire that I just left on the front and it last the same as too rear tires. Wait until you see my front one that was originally on the back. It might be in the next video. My front one looks like it's about to split in half. LOL I moved it to the front after it started to show wear to get more miles out of it. Had I rotated it after 6 months or 2,400 miles the front one would not have looked to bad. My goal of riding per week to reach is 100+ miles of riding and that's how many miles I put on my tires per week. It seems like after pumping up my tires to the max, that they become prone to getting flats. I had just filled my tires up that day. Wenever I seem to get a flat it's after pumping them up. The tires are just like any other tire in the rain, you wouldn't want to make any gforce turns when it's wet outside and especially on asphalt. In that case, clinchers like mine or dirt tires will both slip.

So many hot puddles impeding work. Were those piling cut or driven into the ground more?
@Phonamana13 күн бұрын
@@MikeX3000 the pilings were cut. A construction guy was chatting on my post on the Friends of Pinellas Trail Facebook page telling us that they had problems drilling into the ground there to put the pilings in the holes. He said it was very hard. The rain has slowed down putting the cement down on the trail part. They were putting it down pretty fast until it started raining every day. It always seems like trails around here get built in the rainy season instead of when there is less rain like in December. The Starkey Gap and the Duke Energy extension were both built during the rainy seasons. They would build the trails faster during the dry season.

Progress is moving pretty fast around there. Last night Tuesday Aug 20, 2024, the three pilings were put in the water there. The concrete had been laid in between where we see the boards in the video. Sine I ride by this almost three times a week, I think I will just make a video once a week to show the progress if there is a lot done. If nothing has been done, then I won't. I do think all of the concrete near the apartments and in front of it all the way the next part of Pinellas trail will be done by the end of September. The progress is looking like it's moving that fast. I am thinking towards the existing trail, they may have some issues with whatever they are doing there now with the stuff they are putting under where the trail is going to go. The sod should be done in a day or two sometime after the cement is put down and everything checks out OK. I do think the engineer was checking out my video suggestions where the trail could go before they even flew in from Ohio. Running the trail along the wall like that was something that I mentioned but, I did also mention that they would have to cut down some trees there too...which they did. They could have still given us a temporary safe detour by putting a wall up on the offramp like they did on the onramp across Tampa Rd that was South of this location when they put the cement trail in on the South side there.

I rode by Tuesday August 6th and I saw 5 pilings on or near the barge. The one piling that was been installed in the video is the last one they put in.
