I watch your videos all the time. My 75 is currently bundled up in the garage awaiting better weather. Can't wait to get her out in the spring. What a fun ride!

Thank you I really have learned from and enjoyed your work. Your style of delivery is great. Love the detail. I’ve always wanted a Vette. The beginning of my obsession was at 6 yrs old when my dad would take me to 6 Flags in Dallas every year. They were sponsored by Chevy and that year they had a deep blue ‘65 in the rotating plastic display bubble. I right then fell in love. Hoping I can find a early to mid C3 that isn’t rusted out and not trashed out.

That's awesome! I'm sure you will find your dream car. They are still plentiful. There are some in AZ, which is good since there's almost no chance of rust in most of the state. Good luck and thank you for your support!

I also love the c3.I bought a 1977 torch red corvette.I added hooker headers,high performance exhaust manifold,racing exhaust,timing chain,harmonic balancer,new hoses,belts,tuneup,new mono leaf spring,new tires,brakes ,,, I trully love this car,a real head turner.

Sounds like a sweet ride. What is the model # of the Hooker headers? I am sooooo wanting to put side pipes on mine but as you know they require headers. Doug's Headers are currently at the top of my list. Not sure on pipes yet. Definitely want to get ones with removable baffles though! Is your HP exhaust side pipes? I also need/want to pull the motor and transmission out so I can give them the proper treatment. My next video is about seats lol.

Owning one of these gets more attention than owning almost any other car regardless of price. These cars are so rare to see on the street now that there are many young people that have never seen one. They have to ask someone their riding with " Hey what's that ". I have a flame orange '76 and people will honk and hoot and holler trying to get your attention. Most of the time they are just saying something nice like : Hey nice car ". They are truly unique with lots of curves as you say. You have a nice one, the color is good. There were so many built with bad colors like greens and browns, it was like Chevy thought they were building station wagons or something. The ones with vinyl roofs were terrible too. I have seen one around my area and it's not cool looking. Also I saw your video on replacing the rear spring and I would appreciate it if you would let us know what the end result was as far as how it drives, the ride quality and such. Also which spring did you use, these are a few with different tension. I have rebuilt the whole front end of my car including new Moog springs and a Borgenson steering box. I also took the opportunity to rebuild the 4 speed trans and the engine including horsepower improving stuff. The rear end is next and I have thought about changing the spring. Nothing is wrong with mine but I am curious about what you think. Please let us know. Also I truly enjoy the work you have done on yours and the videos.

Thank you, Mike. The rear spring is a bit bouncy for my liking. I put Bilstein HD's all around and new GT coils in the front, which is tight and sticks to the road nicely. The monospring (link below) is 315 lb which I think is the problem. It's not bad over roads but if you hit a dip for example the rear end kind of "bobs" up and down a little bit. I've read that more shock dampening helps, and of course a less bouncy spring. But I'm going to leave it as is for now, maybe try tightening up the lag bolts at the ends of the springs. Once I get the TR7 done and sold, I'll be buying new trailing arms and rear diff and will be posting that experience. Currently, I am removing seats and cleaning the floorboard and tracks, and will post that on Tues. Here's the link to the spring. Let me/us know how things go for you! www.ecklerscorvette.com/1963-1977-corvette-monospring-kit-rear-composite-replacement-315lb-25-122862-1.html

The same reasons I love mine. This made me happy. Everything you said is true. Love the sugar scoops and front fenders when you sit in the car. Mine is covered in snow now but i can’t wait to drive!

My opinion, C3's are art. I never get tired of looking at mine. My C5 doesn't hold a candle to my C3 as far as curves. Some say it was inspired by a coke bottle and some say by a woman's curves.

Agreed. Total art.

I get mad stares from millenials who have never seen one, thinkin the car is an exotic worth 1/4 million bucks lol Its hillarious! I got 285's on the rear; coming up from the rear, those fat tires look Bad Arse!!! And yes they do fit (using a worm hose clamp to pull the Ebrake cable closer to the swingarm. You can also use a 1/4 inch spacer but mine doesn't rub without the spacer. Tires stick out about 1/4 inch and never rub on a bounce with stock clearance. I'm really thinking about pulling the diff and putting in a highway gear...I too love cruising for miles but not at 3000 RPM haha
@RestorationObsession3 жыл бұрын
Nice! Haha, that is true, younger folks do seem to think of mine as an exotic lol. I did not buy my car for the attention, by any means, and wanted it solely because I want to drive it, but I must admit that it is kind of nice to have people wave and be so friendly. It's a great way to break the conversational ice with others, that's for sure! I can't wait to rebuild the rear end on this thing.
