Thanks B . I think you do the best explanation of equipment and how you adjust for it . With Specto running of course. And you have a great sense of humor

I loved this ball back in the day... threw a 300 with it
@alanbialeck948Ай бұрын
That's the first review of yours I've ever seen where you were trying not to throw it to three board. I would love to watch you bold league with that because I think you're going to be surprised and the shape reminds me of the original danger zone. I believe the original danger zone was also a solid symmetrical.
@johnenriquez4816Ай бұрын
To me, it also looks like the Track Stealth Pearl, which is another symmetrical pearl. How would they compare? Stealth Pearls are discontinued, but can still be found online.

So when you started out throwing the ball in the dry on your laydown and break point the ball was wrapping 10's. As soon as you moved into the oil the ball started driving hard in the back. This tells me the ball is super strong and burned up when you laid it down right of second arrow despite it being shiny.

Awesome review Nick! I’ve not thrown anything with 300 Colombia but after this review i just have to consider one, now to my eye watching this video it looks similar to my Trouble Maker Pearl in terms of motion so would it be worth me considering this ball if i already have equipment that’s pretty similar? Thanks again Nick!

Damn, that ball is driving hard off the dry. If you wanted to play outside throwing it more behind the ball and roll it between first and second arrow what would you use?

Any chance we see this ball in the house of pain?
@BowlerJ1Ай бұрын
You said you tend not to do well with shiny symmetrical balls, so here is a well intended observation: you appear to be speed dominant, so it's not surprising you struggle somewhat with shiny symmetrical balls. Adding surface will help you use it sooner, or you can not use it until the lanes open up, but I wouldn't use it on fresh conditions - it will end up being skid/flippy. I hope this helps.
@iceman5117Ай бұрын
Nick is absolutely not speed dominant
@danfrancis8397Ай бұрын
Of course he knows this. The point of the review is to show the out of box reaction on house, not to make every ball match up to himself on house.

I was a little sticker shocked by this ball. It seems like Ebonite and Columbia 300 are sort of Brunswick's budget brands. $190 undrilled surprised me

Thank you! I thought I was the only one shocked by this price. So many similar balls 50-60 dollars cheaper.

Yeah, bowling balls are really getting stupid expensive. A top shelf ball is now just over $300 after drilling. I have probably bought my last ball.

They won't sell any of these at that price. Much better balls for less. Very high for a Columbia. 🤔

It seems obvious to me that which ball you use is much less important than knowing what Nick has learned over the years and being able to adjust your play to match whatever conditions you find on the lanes each day. Having a couple good balls is important, but not as much as the ball makers want you to think they are.
@RewindCountryАй бұрын
I agree 100%. Ball changes are for when you can't adjust anymore by release/lane position. Most people only have 1 shot they're comfortable throwing and immediately switch to another ball when it's not working. Bowling on a typical house shot means bringing 2 or 3 balls and most nights sticking with 1 ball the whole time. And for those of you ready to yell "boomer" try again LOL.
@SteveBoos-ng2zkАй бұрын
@@RewindCountryI disagree. If you know the shot is the same every week then a small arsenal is fine… But bowling isn’t about throwing a strike… It’s about repeating shots and being in the best ball and the best part of the lane to maximize your miss room
@RewindCountryАй бұрын
@@SteveBoos-ng2zk We're talking about league bowling here, not PBA or even tournaments, so I guess you just like to argue. If you like to bring several balls to league you be you. But it just says something to people who are better at adjusting. I also don't need to be told what bowling is, after 50+ years I'm pretty sure I'm aware.

@@SteveBoos-ng2zk You seem to think you know a lot about a bowler by one comment on the internet. You might want to get that crystal ball tuned up though because your assumptions are completely wrong. Like I said in the other comment, you're just looking for an argument.
