It was my first time ever making it to the end and beating the dragon legitimately and this was on a Hardcore world. I had been a Minecraft player for almost 8 years. And when i finally did and started bridging across the void this part played and holy shit, I've never felt anything like that before. I knew if i stopped crouching for even a split second, everything I'd worked for would disappear and the song playing coupled with the rush of adrenaline is a feeling I'll never forget

This right here? This is the shit. Slowly bridging over certain doom as this plays in the background. Inching towards a goal you aren't even sure is worth risking your world for - all as the song in the background reminds you just how *alone* you are in all of this. You better watch your crouch key. Because I didn't watch mine.

I usually wandering around, seeing if anything is happening in the Nether. I also love to take baths in the lava pool. I also love to burn victims I found either annoying or just plain rude. Now unlike other Ghasts, I'm mainlu chill with humans. As long as the humans are nice and polite to me, them I won't burn them. However, if humans are rude, annoying, and just plain evil, well, *you know what's going to happen.* Other than that, I just mainly just relax in my home, watching KZbin, playing video games, listen to video game soundtracks like Conrete Halls, and just sleep a lot when I get bored. This is just a headcanon, but I sort of envision the end as less of an actual reality and more of a dream, a liminal space of the player’s mind, if you will. Whereas the nether seems to be more of an actual, tangible dimension, the music of the end mirroring/corrupting that of the over-world’s gives me the impression that this is more of a personal journey for the player. Whatever bad things have happened to the player, both in-game and irl, any bad memories or feelings or experiences are represented in the endermen population. They are peaceful until looked at, almost like how a bad memory can almost feel like a dream until it is focused on, when it brings back the horrible experience with a vengeance. The dragon seems to almost be the core of the problems. The self doubt. The fear. The anxiety. The depression. All the negative feelings and thoughts stored up in your mind as a result of your toils and struggles. Defeating the ender dragon is the representation of the player realizing that their final boss is themselves. As soon as they realize how to deal with negative situations, as soon as they realize how to ‘free the end’, they have truly “beat the game”. Notice how the endermen never disappear with the enter dragon though. A representation of how even though bad things can still happen and most likely will, there is a better way to deal with them than letting your inner dragon rule them. BUT HEY THAT’S JUST A THEORY-

The first time I heard this song was on a survival SMP. I had my main base blown up and griefed so I thought "How can they grief me if I build in the VOID!?" so I built a LITERAL 256x256x64 obsidian BOX. No mods no creative just mining the end towers to collect obsidian. There was a /home feature so like... I guess it was kinda modded? But I spent a total of 48 hours in that server. They finally shut it down cuz no one was playing it anymore... anytime I hear this song I think about the beautiful box I built. All the work and effort to make a grief-proof base. What made it even more memorable was this happened in late 2020 (for obvious reasons this is memorable lol) Thank you for putting this here. I don't blame anyone for crying while listening to this beautiful work of art. (P.S. I've owned the game since Alpha but I just never went in the end to kill the dragon (except in creative lol))

This part of the song be like: You feel your muscles tense up as you bridge block by block over the echoing void. Even one mistake can cost everything you’ve worked on up until this point. Your friends, your pets, your precious enchanted Protection 5 Netherite Armor, all gone because of the slip of a joystick. Desperately looking for a gateway you bridge for countless minutes, maybe hours. You think about all the good times you’ve had in the past before this empty, lonely, decaying nightmare. In the distance you believe you’ve stumbled upon something much Superior to a gateway, a city? “What Barbarian would want to Set up a base in this Nightmare?” As you walk to the city, you enter the first room where you find a box, and it’s alive…? Without warning, the Mysterious box fires a Omni-Directional Rotating bullet at you. Upon making contact with the bullet, you start levitating…? You think to yourself “What kind of sick structure is this? Why would anyone want to live with these things?” As you levitate up, you suddenly feel your weight come back to you and within a 2.5s span, you are descending straight back to the ground. Luckily, you have Protection 5 Netherite boots, Right…? As much as the fall hurt, you had to shake it off for the future of your world. Without hesitation you start swinging at the shulkers and claim a piece of their shells. After find a few chests and learning how to deal with shulkers the hard way… You find yourself in a 20 Block Gap from a floating ship at the cityscape. Carefully so you don’t fall to your Eternal and final doom, you bridge, Endstone, by Endstone, making your way to the ship where more fierce shulkers reside. After a short but hard battle, you make your way into the ship. You find a brewing stand with Instant Health potions and decide to drink them. As you make your way deeper into the ship, you stumble upon some wings and chests. As you grab these mysterious wings, you can’t help but notice the familiar feel. But, “Past lives, couldn’t ever hold me down. I’ve got the strangest feeling.” In the admittance to your wild day dream, or night dream? This place isn’t Helping with my sense of time. Suddenly you hear your Router’s power cord plunged out of the very socket it resides in. As this happens, your are unable to move do to the Immense, Traumatic, Disturbing fear in your body. There’s a pair of footsteps coming up the stairs. As this happens, you check the clock and it reads, “2:09am.” Suddenly your door opens and it fades to black…
