C43 AMG Build Series - Weistec Intake

Installing Weistec Intake. Quote from Weistec "An upgraded intake system increases the amount of airflow available to your engine while still properly filtering out debris or particles from the road. In vehicles that have the M276 with twin turbochargers, higher airflow allows the engine to make more power. This is most apparent in vehicles running higher boost levels such as those that are tuned or have upgraded turbochargers."

Thanks for the video! The CF intakes are gorgeous, but to cut the oem engine cover is a shame. Why don’t Weistec build a custom one and sell it as a package with the intakes? I’d give those a serious consideration! Their products are top and would look even better than the original engine cover, I’m sure!

Agreed, I will experiment with some 3D printing and once I find a way to make it as OEM as possible I will make a video about it.

Are you also upgrading the tranny? C43 tranny are rated for a max off 500lb of torque. You already pass those number with a stage 1 tune. Im wondering how they holding up in these kind of builds

@amgchronicles1 I went into Weistec today, and showed them this fitment issue as I was also concerned. They assured me that it should fit better than that. If you reach out to them they said they’d like to talk to you. 17:04

Thanks, I opt-in to keep original exhaust because it sound so good already. But I got other mods coming in the pipeline such as retrofiring the 2019 infotainment system with digital cluster.

Intake is great, I would do a dry fitment on the first part of the intake where the vents attached to the front support. Check out my intake video, where I show a small issue. Otherwise it an amazing intake

Sorry, off-topic, but I also managed to break the lever arm mechanism on the larger wiring harness connector at the ECU. I can't quite see in this video, but did you put in something different for the locking slider plastic inserts?

Probably, but check weistec.com or send them an email to make sure. Engines are the same, but I'm just not sure the way it attaches to the front support bar.
