C4D Multi Shader In Redshift and Cinema 4d Standard Material

In this Video we see how to apply multiple textures to clones in cinema 4d using one redshift or standard material through multi shader. we will use magazine and AFCON nations flags as examples.

In the new C4D, now when you click Create>Redshift>Materials - choose "Multishader Material", there's no longer a RS 'multishader' node.

I feel like this multishader isn't documented anywhere, I was using it today and trying to find some more information on its features from Redshift/Maxon, but theres nothing online.

I'm having an issue with this in Redshift where it's still showing the same texture on each clone, and im getting an error saying "Multishader: Could not bake shader". Any ideas how to fix this? :)

Hello bro thanks for this amazing tutorial, I want to ask does the amount of texture have to be exactly equal to the number of clones? for the textures to be visible, because I am trying to work on a bean loop animation but the random colors are not working

No not at all. If the textures are not up to, it will repeat the textures and if its more, the excess will be ignored so everything should work fine. Maybe you should check the mode you've set to. Index ratio is usual good if you want to use the clones id to distribute your textures and color brightness is if you want to use the color intensity of you clones.

I can't find RS Multi Shader in Redshift? I'm using the newest version or Redshift with Cinema r26 and there is no such node as Multi shader. Please help! Otherwise - awesome video :)

@@sebastien8454 yeah, nope - I couldn`t find multishader or something simillar. I had to do it the "caveman" style - instead of using cloner I made myself 25+ different pages

Just ran into this myself! What I discovered after much trial and error is that if you make a standard material and set it up as a multi shader and then convert material to a redshift material you will get the old interface and have access to the multi shader.
