Just installed mine last night and got it to fit without cutting, you just need to move the middle bolt all the way up on the bracket. I’m debating whether or not I’m going to cut it still because I’m planning to cut my front license plate cover for ventilation.

For the two small holes you drilled , do those lines go to something inside it? Sorry this is the first intake I’ve ever installed and didn’t realize I’d have to drill into it. Mines a 99

they do not connect to anything inside the intake. Both rubber grommets are for a vacuum hose, with male barbed fitting, as well as a intake air temp sensor. the temp sensor should fit nicely inside the larger rubber grommet.

Wait, aren't you now covering half the radiator with the plastic on top of it?

There is still plenty of room for air to get by the flap and to the top of the radiator. I was also concerned about this but I have been driving the car hard for the past few weeks and my engine temps are the exact same as before! I just put 1,700 miles on the car driving the Tail of the Dragon and the car temp was perfect :)

Will it need a tune after installation

No, the car won't "need" a tune. It will run just fine without a tune. However, in order to take full advantage of the new parts you just purchased a tune would be required. A tune would unlock the extra power this modification provides you with.
