@@galencaudill6462 yep, been there. Done that... I installed a oil catch can & a valve cover air breather... new PCV every year... if you do build up oil pressure, 90% of the time it causes a rear main seal leak... Thanks for the shout out...

The drain valve does not allow all of the oil to drain from the pan. The threads stick through the inside of the oil pan and prevent complete draining of engine oil. And it is slow as hell.

Draining absolutely every drop of oil is unlikely without removing the pan completely, the small amount of threads sticking through leave a negligible amount that I wouldn't worry with. You are right about the speed, it is a lot slower than the normal drain bolt... But with the added benefit of it not leaking. That's a trade-off I was willing to make on my particular pan.
