Thank you for being in depth about the resistor. It seriously helped me alot. Your video is awesome!!

Hey ur videos extremely helpful, one question tho, whats the reason behind disconnecting the clock spring then reconnecting it? Why not just tuck it away while it is still plugged in and then stick a resistor on the end?
@ajmobbinn Жыл бұрын
what size resistor did you use? currently doing my quick release and the 0.5 watt 2ohm resistor i have is smaller than the one you used. i'm stilll getting airbag light with everything plugged back in, i think it's the resistor

Great instructional video. One question: what is the purpose to to disconnect the connections under the dash? Why not just leave them untouched?
@Chewwsky4 жыл бұрын
William Cooper just reassurance that the airbag doesn’t go off in your face
@Chewwsky4 жыл бұрын
William Cooper you can but then where will you route your airbag and horn wire? Unless you just cut both off. Also, the hub adapter won’t fit over the clock spring
@browardbackpain4 жыл бұрын
I forgot to ask another question. Did need to use the nrg spacer to get the steering wheel centered?
@Chewwsky4 жыл бұрын
William Cooper nope! Make sure your wheel is centered when you pull off the old wheel and when you put the hub adapter on make sure the dot is at 12 o’clock and you’re good to go. I believe I talk about this in the video

Very helpful video! I ordered the Sparco R383 Champion wheel which has the red stitching, needed the wheel to match my interior lol. I see u didn't use a spacer? Any issues with the wheel hitting the wiper or turn signal stalk?
@Chewwsky3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. I used the hub adapter NRG 170-H and NRG 250-BK quick release which provides more than enough clearance. If anything it’s a little far from the turn signal stalk now.

@@Chewwsky Thats good to hear! I ordered the same parts. I ordered the spacer to since I wasn't sure if I needed it or not. Thanks for the help

Hi, I have a couple of questions: 1. You mention a 2 ohm resistor. Did you have to solder any type of resistor or are you referring to the blue/yellow connectors, that when reattached should take care of the airbag light? 2. Does your hub and steering column plastic still rub, or has it shaved itself down after some driving?
@Chewwsky3 жыл бұрын
Hey, 1. No soldering at all. Just stick the wire ends of the resistor into the two open plug holes on the end that attached to the airbag. Then electrical tape it up. 2. I actually don’t have the car anymore but after a couple weeks of driving it was still rubbing. Other people have said it goes away though.

how far did it pushed back the steering wheel? and does the tilt column still work?
@Chewwsky3 жыл бұрын
When you say pushed back do you mean towards the dash or towards the driver? It is a similar reach to the stock setup even though the wheel doesn’t have much dish. You can reach the signal stocks perfectly still. And yes, the tilt column still works although if you want to see your gauges there’s basically only one position to do that and it’s an awkward steering wheel angle.

Did the horn end up working when you wired it?

Yep! I just had the wires crossed!

I want to say it’s just slightly closer. I didn’t have the telescoping steering wheel either. Comfortable distance nonetheless

So do all sparco wheels work on the adapter?
@Chewwsky4 жыл бұрын
TheBigHippo 12 all sparco wheels are 6 bolt so should bolt right up to the hub adapter regardless of quick release or not.
