Absolutely banger of a release from CW, so much tech on this watch for a price that should be double or triple that, if coming from one of the more...established dare I say Swiss maisons! Great review, cheers!

I have no experience with PVD coating. Is it hard wearing or will it look shit after a year on the wrist?

I don't understand the compass bezel. If you have to adjust it, then you need to know where North is, and if you already know that, why do you need the bezel? I get it for GMT and dive timings where the time will change and you need to know what you had set the bezel too so long ago, but time has nothing to do with direction, so the compass bezel seems to lack utility in my eyes. Cool review though. I think forged carbon is awesome in watches, wallets, rings, etc.

You can orient yourself and find north by using the hands on the watch and the position of the sun. It’s kind of a complicated process but it does work.
@ExplorerJust22 күн бұрын
@@dans.8217 It's quite simple, but there are huge margins for error so it's an approximation at best. That taken inconsideration, the fine detail provided by the bezel is superfluous - it's a bit of a gimmick. And yes, I do know how to do it and I have and still do use my watch as an approximate 'compass' , particularly when on Arctic summer expeditions.

How is rotating compass bezel insert used? Just a gimmick?
@zainrafiq26933 ай бұрын
You point the hour hand at the sun and can use that to find north or south based on which hemisphere you are in. Then you rotate the bezel to find other directions.
@VisualPrecisionLtd Жыл бұрын
The rotating compass bezel is useless at night as you need the suns position + time to be able to fix the bezel. Not really that useful.

Hi. Hope you’re well. It’s very nice but I don’t get the same wage as a Marine, unfortunatly. I’ll have to stick with my old Steeldive. Very nice watch though. Perhaps you would like to send it to me? You must have too many watches by now. All the best.😉👍🏾🇬🇧

Best diver???? What about the Squale carbon???
@TheWatcherReviews Жыл бұрын
Is it COSC, 600M? The reason I called it best diver for £1000 is based on value, so the amount of spec this offers vs the rest in that price
