Remember talking about colours on dials? Well, brown is hyped lately, as pink is too, but can't see them in the long run. Baltany smashes it on brown though, not just here. Very nice dial here and lots of play with the light (case helps too). So, a very elegant field watch. Kind of oxymoron, but works. Thanks for the review mate, be well.

I’m torn because I do think that date in the middle of the small seconds is odd, but I also really dislike ghost anything, especially if they don’t remove the date wheel in the factory. I wonder if Sea-Gull makes a small seconds hand wind movement without the date. I imagine that they do, because they make so many movements, as you have mentioned.

I received mine today and it is stunning (same color). The lume is about it's only real issue. It could be stronger. That said, it's a GMT not a diver. A better clasp, a 24 bidi bezel would be my suggestions.

The Merkur obliterates those awful sounding Seikos. I have a Samurai and a Tuna, they both sound like playing cards pegged on a bike wheel 🤣 The "King Willard" and a San Martin Tuna homage are so much better, extremely pleasant to fiddle with and consistent, I've had them for a few years now. It's a tragedy what Seiko has come to, still nail the design but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Still, I still enjoy mine I just don't touch the bezels. Thanks for posting
