Great video! When I was a kid, my friend had a C64 and we played this game often. We used to put two seats in line and the one sitting in front was the pilot and the one in the back was the navigator. Damn.. I used to have imagination once..

Sounds pretty chilled and careless. I remember playing "Test Drive" on C64 back in the days and we pretended to drive to our grandparents in the game. My big brother and me. Such a nice time.

I did this with Ace but a Mosquito cockpit has two seats side by side, with the navigator just a little set back, has to be authentic!

That game was a masterpiece. My No. One on the C64 (I had a C128D), followed by "Defender of the Crown", "Elite" and "Giana Sisters". In terms of Flight Sims years later I had "IL2: Sturmovik" which had nice missions as well.

Frankly, I think that this game is one of the best looking flight simulators ever made for the C64. It really stands out. I mean, there are other C64 flight sims, but there are few that I can think of that really match this in terms of what it looks like and does for the time period on this computer.

I remember this was very fun game for World War 2 plane fans like me. I just knew bit too much about these planes and it bugged me how Mosquito on this game was only able to fly limited time with just one engine. In real life it had awesome performance and climbing capabilities even with one remaining engine ;-)

Teemu Nieminen I had the privilege of knowing a WW2 Mosquito pilot, a very humble man I learned a lot from. He used to really play down the threat.....”we just used to fly too high for the Germans to get us!”

It's clear that the aerial target movement is a separate routine from that creating the clouds. The former is very much smoother than the latter in terms of frame rate, and there is what appears to be a little randomness introduced. This game reminds me of, and is not quite a massive leap beyond, the 70s era arcade game where you looked through a 'periscope' and fired torpedos at ships running across the line of sight.

Looking for a game similar to this one. Any ideas? Platform: Commodore 64 Estimated year of release: Very late 80s Opening music of the game is space odyssey theme. You are controlling a plane and start shooting some chopters first. Then you land on the ground and start shooting tanks coming at you, sliding right and left. Then you fly again and start shooting jet planes that are faster than chopters in the first stage. Finally, you shoot other black planes that come behind you and you can see them before they come from your rear mirror.
