Exhaust: Can Auto Performance Test Pipes - CTS Turbo 2.5” Downpipes - 2x High Flow 200cell metallic core catalytic converters - 2x Ford Vibration Dampeners - Vibrant 1141 Ultra Quiet Resonators - AWE Touring Exhaust.
Found a good deal on an AWE touring exhaust so I had a shop install it after the downpipes. Normal install really.
Results: Nearly zero drone while cruising at 80mph. When you get on the gas, it does wake up and get loud. I think this is going to be it for a long while.

Hey there. I followed your “setups” and figured something on my own. Cap test pipes > 200 cell metalic converters > muffler > x pipe > muffler > 2x valved mufflers. Everything at 2.5(63mm). I have 0 rattle, but at around 2000 rpm i have some weird deep sound. We may call it drone, but it is really deep, like resonance. Any idea around it?

Sadly i had to use the AWE tuning mufflers which are engineered to remove the drone. The vibration dampeners may help some, but it's hard to control the drone.

These videos have been a godsend for research. What part most helped the most with the drone? I personally love the sound of setup #10 and want to go for something similar but am a little worried about the drone

@@Shadxws the high flow catalytic converters made a big difference, but the AWE touring has some sort of acoustical magic. Hard to tell which one really did the most high flow cats were a huge improvement.

iE makes a throttle body for the crec? can’t find.. one also how is the jackel stage 2 e85 tune is it just the lower pulley and not the SC pulley ?

Jackal tunes will work with aftermarket throttle bodies. Let them know which aftermarket throttle body you get, and they will make the tune work for it. Technically the jackal stage 2 e85 tune is for an upgraded upper pulley. I was previously dual pulley, and I really didn’t wanna have to put the stock crank pulley back on so I just did this. It works pretty well. I really can’t wait for Jack to come out with their dual pulley e85 but I think they’re having trouble with fueling.

@@activemonkey7325 ah i see that’s so dope that they can make a custom tune with the throttle body you know where i can find a throttle body? ..and how does that tune work with the upgraded crank pulley it doesn’t cut out ? and i thought they already had a dual pully e85 haha i guess that’s the stage 2 plus? i can’t wait either i heard 034 is making that tune as well

@@devonbray-f9w Sadly, no one has a stage 2+ e85 tune available for the crec motors. (Audi A6 & A7 2016-2018). The tune is setup to run with an upgraded upper pulley. It works pretty well with a stock SC pulley and upgraded lower pulley, but it's not perfect, but that is my fault not the tune's.

it’s also crazy that you’ve tried 13 different exhaust set ups haha what do you recommend i do to my exhaust for the best price i currently can’t afford the awe exhaust or any cat back for that matter

Hand down my favorite sounding was setup #2. Good sound, cheap and no drone. I only installed test pipes because i knew i was going stage 2+ and i put a ton of miles on the car so they would have failed sooner or later and wanted to save them should i need to smog. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pouUk3iIm9GWkJo

@@devonbray-f9w The only reason i went with the S7 mufflers was for the quad tips vs the stock single trapazoid looking thing built into the bumper. hey probably sound the same.

​@activemonkey7325 gosh, you sound like me... I only switched for the quad tip and realized how bad these drone. My Altima SE-R with dual Greddy exhaust had less running midrange drone than these.
