I’m noticing a lot of guys on here are comparing the z06 to the hellcat when they aren’t equal competitors. The corvette’s answer is the viper. Put a zr1 against an acr and it gets destroyed on the track and strip. Either way, both companies produced heavy hitters and are really giving the foreign sports car producers good american competition.

I don't even know if I'd categorize the viper and the vette in the same playing field. The vette is a refined sports car meant for being fast and impressive on the highway. The viper is a back to the basics racing beast, no ABS, no Traction Control... It's meant for tearing up the track, I think the viper is better suited against European exotics.

The z06 wasn't 100% stock. It had a CAI. The thing with the z06s is that a CAI on these make a good amount of power ( 30-40 hp) without a custom tune. The hellcat had an upgraded filter. Now i can't remember if it was a drop in or an open cone filter and removed the airbox since it was a while back. Either way the z06 had the edge with more power from the upgrade then the hellcat.
