Throttle House is fast becoming the gold standard of independent youtube auto channels. The fact that Chris Harris, who is a serious OG whom I never fail to hit play on when one of his videos pop up, is spending a day hooning around in maple land with you two, is proof positive that the world of motoring journalists are taking you both quite seriously. The key, beyond the amazing evolution of your production team's work, is the fact that despite the monstrous channel growth, you aren't taking yourselves too seriously. Make sure never to lose that. That is how Clarkson, May and Hammond sent TG into the stratosphere. Well done, gents!

With as outdated as the charger is in terms of the automotive industry, there’s no doubt that it’s one of the greatest muscle sedans ever built. Dodge literally perfected that car is every aspect of what it’s intended for. A final redesign would be nice for the final years of it as we all know the V8 chargers days are numbered.
@JETZcorp2 жыл бұрын
Even though the architecture is old, it's really not bad. Heavy, for sure. But the suspension is double wishbone front with 5-link rear, which is more sophisticated than what the much newer Mustang and Camaro have (those are both strut cars). Heck, even the Porsche 911 uses struts unless it's a GT3 (albeit really really really well sorted).

I'd take the "outdated" dodge over those "modern" twat cars all day long. Drove a rental r/t charger 5000 miles across america and that car was phenomenal. Drove through insane rain in Florida and crazy 115 degrees desert weather for 3 weeks and that car never missed a single beat. On the other hand if i drive my e class mercedes for 800km on european roadways, i can assure you that something on the car will fail. After that vaccation in the US im sold and dodge will probably have a new customer soon.

dodge is one of the worst manufacturers out there!!!!!!! almost everyone of their vehicles has orange peel throughout, weld slag on some corners of the body panels, on my vehicle (2021)one tail light sits flush other side sits outside the tail light cavity. I Can stick a quart in the gap. (no it's not used or been in a accident) i have always owned chevy's and fords and never seen these type of flaws, imperfections, and just flat out shitty manufacturing. dodge has been just slapping vehicles together for years in the easiest and cheapest way possible but people still buy them. for years and years using shitty materials for the dash. i have seen soooooo many of their vehicles dash warp and the a/c vents all fall out and be so warped you could not put them back in. Dodge ignored this for years and kept using the same materials regardless of the complaints and knowing of the issue. All so offered not help to the people that this was happening to because by the time this happens, well out of warranty. it only takes me one time (THIS TIME ). I can tell you i will never buy another dodge product again for myself or my family.

Kudos to Cadillac for building a truly fantastic car that many dream of with a manual trans. Thank you guys for taking the chance and just doing it. You created a legend for all time!

@@mryouknooow It's faster than the M5 CS Around Willow springs Raceway. And only 0.3 of a second behind the Model S Plaid. That says it all. Edit: Alright I Found my stats were a bit off. So the times that I mention are from Hagerty's ICONS Video where Randy Pobst Laps the M5 CS, Plaid and the Blackwing. 1. Tesla Model S Plaid - 1:27.78 2. Cadillac CT5V BW - 1:28.07 3. BMW M5 CS - 1:28.76 This was around Willow Springs. Not to mention, Willow Springs is NOT a Handling Circuit with More corners. It's more of a Speedway with Long Corners. So When all these cars are tested Around say, Hockenheim Ring or smth like that, You can see that the Blackwing can beat the Tesla in any circumstance.

Couldnt agree more! Epic stuff. I’m so tired of flappy paddles and autos, just because they wanna save 0,3 seconds here and there. But with paddles we lose the feeling, smoothness in slow traffic and most importantly self expression. Great job Cadillac!

Dodge is just the outlaw of muscle cars!! Freaking awesome!!
@angusandleigh Жыл бұрын
...it's not so much and 'outlaw' (as with the Challenger to most), but more so the car that actually fits the segment...the other cars are just sports cars pretending...Dodge did it right, put the muscle cars as muscle cars, and for all the track business it offered the Viper...and in the ACR it was just so simple it was so good...
@joshreynolds7292 ай бұрын
The only true muscle car made today is by Dodge, but it's not a charger sedan it's a challenger. The rest are not muscle cars they are on sports cars chassis and significantly lighter and more aerodynamic or have dohc engines that aren't pushrod. I do agree it is awesome. Sadly, eventually, the outlaw gets tame, or they get caught, which both happened to dodge. They were actually bought out jan 2021, but stilantis fully then fired or resigned everyone who made these cars possible, like srt and tim K. Now it's all quality control problems.

Throttle house has been on original Top Gear's level for quite some time now. Chris is better here than on Top Gear. I'd prefer Jason Camissa as a third host but Hagerty is pretty great on its own. Let's just appreciate the amount of great automotive media we have today.

Actually Chris and that "Adam Sandler guy" are great for reoccurring cameos. Cameos are appropriate for shows like these to keep things fresh aside from the cars, otherwise you end up with car culture/antics which go so far (cough, US TG, Amazon GT, MW). Considering one is a pro race car driver (not just a rally guy) and the other is a old-school pro journalist, both from global car mags. Wonderful achievement for the Throttle House team.
