I put the jack stands pretty much under the red circles in the diagram at the 3:30 time mark. The jack/lift points are not smooth metal, they have a grid on them. I spaced the jack stands as close to the inside tire as i could, while remaining on the gridded metal cross bar. For the front wheels, i used the aft most cross bar when your looking at the diagram. How are the pads wearing into the rotors. Ive herd mixed reviews on those pads about a lot of wear on the ccb's

I’ve put about 18,000 miles on the car since we did the pads. All daily driving to include ATL traffic. I’ve had no problems with them. I’d buy them again. There is little to no brake dust, no squealing, and lots of stopping power. I have no complaints.

How tight do I need to tighten a retaining bolt on caliper?

You will not be able to resurface the carbon ceramic rotors. When they wear out, they need to be replaced. However, if you are not tracking the car, the rotors should last a very very long time. You will need to burnish in the new pads though. I would follow GMs brake burnishing procedure for that. The only thing we did with the actual calipers was to clean them with a rag.
