Does the car have to be in service mode since the rear brakes are electric? Or can you just pop those pistons in?

Mention if the parking brake were on you would never get the rotor off

Why bother with the rotor screw? Weren't they just used to keep the rotor from falling off during initial assembly?

(a) They hold the rotor in place making caliper reattachment easier; and (b) GM recommends it, and it's always best not to give them an excuse to deny a warranty claim.

Torque Specs Rear Caliper bolts? Did you say 89ft lb, and 89in lb for the rotor screw?

Sons of Speed I just did my front and rear, yesterday. I used your video. Watching the video made me feel like I’d done it before. Thanks for the help. My rears were harder to get the rotors off. They didn’t want to budge, even with a hammer. I ended up using my benzene torch to heat the area around the rotor screw. Then the rotors literally fell off. It took me about 4 hours, total to do all 4. Pads and rotors and detailing everything as I went. Now the calipers, wheel wells, and wheels, are spotless. Thanks again. 👌👌👌
