I've got a 3LT with that micro suede steering wheel and I honestly think its a dumb idea....there's no way that stuff is going to hold up with all the sweat and oil from your hands. This kind of wheel is so much better and will last. I'm definitely going to consider buying one of these...especially once the factory one starts to wear. Good vid...very informative and detailed install

You can use a impack wrench to remove the steering wheel bolt with no help l change mine it was very easy

This is great! At some point a lot of folks are going to need to replace the steering wheel. I had suede before and it was nice for maybe a year then progressively got super gross. Knowing how to DIY is really helpful. Maybe you can make a round steering wheel for the C8. It'll give a completely separate group of owners a reason to buy it. Not everyone will go to the effort and expense to get carbon fiber on their wheel. But I bet there are plenty of owners who are not fans of the square wheel.

Just soak a clean towel with water, then wring it out really well, then simply rub the gross wheel till its wet and keep using clean sections of the towel to remove the grossness and dirt buildup. Take about 15 minutes of a good massage of the wheel and thrn towel dry rub it the best ya can, wake up the bext day to a brand new wheel, its that simple.

Alcantara is easily washable to clean. Unlike suede.
