Should have put that in the vid for sure but I’ve heard them side by side next to stock and it’s a noticeable difference but obviously not crazy insane as it’s a subtle upgrade, vocals are wayyyy louder

Did the car stereo world. We would do installs in Rolls, Ferrari, Bentley and Benz all day. We would tune to classical music because it had the whole range. Very clean installs up to 18” subs. That’s from the way back machine. We wanted clean volume. It was cool.

Do I need a DSP if I just wanted to upgrade the 10" subs in the doors and power them with an amp using the factory speaker wires and lineout converters for the input to the amp?

you do not need it, dsp is always better for fine tuning but not needed for the bass at all just get a high quality LOC like audio control or equivalent

good question i know there are some mics for anc in the doors but didnt mess with them because the system is a little more complex than the traditional anc in the average vehicle. How can I get in touch with you guys. I had plans to try and convince someone (here in Canada), with amazing fibreglass skills, to try and make me a sealed enclosure to sit in the center of the C8, to replace that useless space in between the seats. And here you guys already pulled it off. I would like to speak with you about making the same centre mould, but instead of 5.25" coaxials, I would like to run two JL Audio 6W3 6" or 8w3 8" subs (thinking 6" would fit better). After adding amps, curios if you did anything to the cars charging system? Corvette techs claim alternator output is not very strong in these cars from factory. Front doors internal definitely need sound treatment. Like you mentioned, inside doors, against outside panel needs Dynomat type. Then use peel-n-stick Black Hole Tiles, foam squares to help control sound waves inside door panel. On inner door panel I’d use Focal Bam XXL peel-n-stick sound insulation. I’d also look into sound treating the floors and rear deck areas. Sound great as much as you can, should quieten car as much as possible. A SQ option for low profile 10” subs is Illusion Audio carbon series.

@@McIntosh1006 great comment! we have done several more of these off camera and use sound deadening now although there was not much audible difference as the doors fiberglass and already have subs in them with no deadener from factory it doesn’t hurt. Interesting sub suggestion I’d love to try it. We have one coming up we are doing some neo speakers in the back with different amps excited to hear the difference. Much love 🤘🏻

@@McIntosh1006 as for the charging system have done 15-20 now with no complaints on charging system although that is definitely something to keep in mind. We have swapped out several batteries with the optima designed for these cars opposed to the very cheap lead acid they come stock with. Was one of GMs cost cutting choices 🫤

In order to get quality bass in that car, you need a sub down in the passenger footwell... You know how to fab with fiberglass.....get it done......ARC Audio A-10 is the speaker to use......just saying
