Cab ride to Aguas Calientes (near Machu Picchu)

Cabride on a "Peruvian Rails" train (914mm) from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (aka Machu Picchu Station), with Music. Recorded in November 2018.
This scenic ride starts in a dry region in the mountains of Peru (Andes) in about 2900m (9500ft) and descends down the Urubamba valley to about 2100m (6900ft). The mountains are then covered in a dense subtropical jungle. Mountain peaks along the track are up to 6000m of height (20000ft).
Notes:
- First minutes in Ollantaytambo are missing
- The video was recorded in five takes, between the takes a few seconds are missing
- Original recording contained the environment sound from within the train (chatter, etc.). Except some train sounds these are dubbed with music.
- Music is royalty free. If you don't like it: mute it!
- Recorded on a Lumix TZ-61 - therefore video quality is not the best and the camera struggles with the lightning conditions

Still one of the most spectacular rail lines in the world. Could remember a ride in the mid 60ies,with rain, mudslides and steam engines. No diseasels in sight for 10 more years.

Nice video. When I did this train ride the river was much higher, a raging torrent. I was saddened by the amount of plastic litter in it. I believe this is a tributary of the Amazon, so this Peruvian trash ends up in the Atlantic after traversing through Brasil. Make sure you sit on the river side of the train for the best view.

Although I use music on both of my two youtube channels, it would also have been nice to be able to hear the sound of the train and surroundings, birds singing, wind blowing, to make this an immersive experience for the viewer you need to be able to stimulate all the senses where possible, aftrer a while the music just becomes a monotonous drone, apart from that an excellent video but after 15 minutes i turned the sound down
