Great sound. Brings me back when my dad would bring my brother and I to the dream contest at Roosevelt Stadium to see all the great corps in the late sixties and seventies. I was hooked and played snare in two corps . thanks for the video

The best alumni corps in all of the drum corps world.

I remember them when Costello used to pack the equiptment in his truck for practice at Goffle Brook park. the Cab's are what made Hawthorne famous and I have been gone 45 years and they still give me goose bumps!!!!

I LUV the way corps used to MARCH on & off the field the way DRUM CORP was meant to be; street beat included!

Imitated never duplicated, even today. When these guys were on and kickin it, the ground shook, literally . Probably the most famous of all Drum and Bugle Corps . National ambassadors of this thing we called Drum and Bugle corps . Stand up when you see them, a Great is passing . To stand in retreat was never a sure thing you could best these men. It could be done at times but usually by the closest of margins . And to be honest you never really knew until the score was read . What you witness here is history which will never pass this way again and those who were a part are better for it . Bravo, Hawthorne Caballeros Post 199

The "old style" is still the best in entertainment!!! Hope it comes back!!! I guess that's up to the instructors.

The instructors make more money doing the band thing ;, year round work. I would say their background is in orchestral and concert . They never had any real love, affinity for the bugle or the heritage/ unique genre that was the Drum and Bugle Corps . This was obvious to me from my experience the first time at age 10 that I was leaving the school band to join a Drum and Bugle Corps and the band director did his best to give me his take . Do I like field bands? Absolutely ! Do I like Drum and Bugle Corps? Yes. Do I like this overproduced hybrid of confusion to what it doesnt know what and who it is, and wants to be ? Sounds too much like the current confusion of what and who we are .

oldtimedrumcorps I didn't mind the transition from G to B flat horns, but the overuse of electronics and guitars and trombones leads me to believe they (the instructors and designers) want a hybrid and to hell with the purists. And so it goes.....I don't blame the hard working performers who agree to this, but it makes this 1990's alumnus longing for some reform here.

Cabs are the very best of the best! The Costello and Russo names and the rest of the 1970s, 80s clan can never be forgotten from my head as Cabs meant so much to me in my earlier years and still do.

Keeping it real . Your dedication to the art and to all those who took it," off the line" is recognized. To say I competed against you, possibly in that same stadium exactly 40 yrs ago was my honor . Regards

What killed me about this Olympic pass in review before retreat was how many people COULDN'T STAY IN STEP to a basic street beat and march tune. As an drum corps alumnus from the 1990's, it made me SICK! What's wrong with DCA anyway??? 🤔
