I've enjoyed the other guests, but Craig's presence is an entirely different beast. Matt's energy this episode has been different too.

Watching this episode reminds me of the fact that I was in a production of Cabaret in high school. It was tons of fun for us, but looking back on it, I can’t believe that 1. The director got approval to do this show, all the numbers, with 14-17 year olds, and 2. Our parents were forced to sit through it. I don’t think I’d be able to watch high schoolers do this show, it would be so strange. We think we’re adults at that age and we’re so not

Hey guys! I know I missed the animation month, but have you ever seen the animated film Redline? No film, animated or otherwise, captures the feeling of raw inertia and explosive momentum of racing like this one does. It's an absolute triumph, quite possibly the last, great scream of defiance by the hand-drawn animated feature film. Cannot recommend it enough.

At tiny part of me hoped it would be Moonstruck. I was so pleased to hear it was a favorite of Craig's. Also, cudos for not spoiling the secrets of Cabaret. Craig, we're all going to miss you very much. I cant remember the last time a piece of media (your show) has made me sadder. Big thumb kiss. Just, come back soon, Craig.

I would say the stage man isn't "the syphillis". Decadence may be decay, true, but it's also a form of escape(/ism). He is the reality threatening to return once the escape can no longer sustain itself, and comes crashing back to the ground. He GETS to be sinister, because his part is inevitable.

My favourite Sally Bowles is from a filmed live performance from 1993 where Jane Horrocks (you may know her from Little Voice or Absolutely Fabulous where she played Bubbles) rips your head of with her version of the titular track. Search jane horrocks cabaret here on youtube and you'll find it (both the song and the entire show). Alan Cumming is good in it too.

The entire staging of the Tomorrow Belongs to Me was pure Fosse. On the stage the scene is done in the rooming house; placed in the beer garden gives the idyllic overlay; the patrons start out rosy-cheeked and wholesome but they progress to ugly and hateful.
