I like having Tony on. Aside from his obvious movie knowledge, he’s so merry and it’s infectious

I agree, he's a really fun co-host for this show, but it's unfortunate about the infection. He really should sort that.

Good having you back Tony! I always enjoy seeing you on BlameSociety. I'm fascinated by this movie. I've never seen younger Ian McKellan in film before (only in photos). I think I'll need to check this one out soon.

I always had trouble reconciling this as a horror movie. It felt more like a supernatural action movie, and it still does.

"The Keep" is a movie that deserves a remake. Give it to a studio that will do it justice and put some resources behind it. As opposed to "rejigging" franchises like The Exorcist or Halloween.

I watched a fascinating movie called Russian Ark the other day and was wondering if you, Matt, or your cohost of the week have Seen It? It's entirely done in one continuous take, no hidden match cuts, and winds through the winter palace in russia through a few different time periods. At times I was enthralled, other times confused, and other times a bit bored. In the end there were a few scenes though that couldn't be called anything but a triumph and to pull off this movie boggles the mind in regards to planning and execution. Love the show as always hope you got some thoughts on Russian Ark!

This is one of those films that could've been a classic. I would urge people to seek out the novel. The Keep deserves either a director's cut or a remake.

Micheal Mann has been blocking a USA DVD and Blu ray release of The Keep for years. At this point I'm guessing the missing footage was junked by Paramount and only B roll footage exists somewhere. EDIT: Just realized he's saying "It touched my BLOOD".

fyi Tony Hermes Trismegistus is a legendary Hellenistic period figure that originated as a syncretic combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth 12. He is the purported author of the Hermetica, a widely diverse series of ancient and medieval pseudepigraphica that lay the basis of various philosophical systems known as Hermeticism its where we get "Hermeticaly sealed" PS Im glad ur nota Satanist

I also don't like New Nightmare, also because of the bad acting. Wes Craven and one other real life studio exec. are in it playing themselves and they are TERROBLE. It stars Heather Langenkamp who isn't especially talented as an actress either. Nope. Can't sit through it.
