So lucky to quickly make the decision to buy tickets for opening week of the show - it was stunning. It was a surprise for my partner who said " doesn't that guy singing look alot like Eddie Redmayne? " 😂. Priceless. Also Eddie is really buff. 😘

Out of all the actors who needed to win - it was Eddie. He was so wrongfully judged for taking on this role and he was just incredible. So much so I paid to see it twice.

It really was not the best revival of Cabaret. Rufus Norris’s production with Anna Maxwell Martin some years ago was better and so was the Sam Mendes production with Alan Cumming and Natasha Richardson on Broadway. The musical production of the year was shortchanged by the Oliviers and that was for me undoubtedly Kathleen Marshall’s Anything Goes with the sensational Sutton Foster who at least received a Tony for her role as Reno Sweeney on Broadway on 2012.

Wow! How do you manage to see all these productions?

I wonder if because Sutton was there on a limited engagement it didn't count?

I strongly disagree with opinion I saw Cabaret twice and this is by far the most immersive production I have ever seen.

@@picardythirds no it was nominated, and it doesn't actually matter who is in the role when it comes to nominations for the musical. Not to mention it was long enough for her to be nominated anyway.

Dear God are these people Ever going to stop rewarding themselves . IT IS AN AFFRONT .It is excess and while people are dying in Ukraine and NHS they should be sending the money to help others that they spend on this drawn out Nonsence . The Queens thanks for excellence as head of our nation in charity and hard work for others is sufficient . APPALLING .THEY SHOU,D BE ASHAMED . SKILL BORN INTO THEM IS HARDLY WORTH ANYTHING JUST GRAITUDE . THEY HAVE BEEN LUCKY IN LIFE . HONESTLY I despair at this world .

Jessie Buckley truly deserves all her success. She has worked so hard to hone her craft since she was a teenager. It was a long road as she was unable to go to drama school when she was young. Her time has come. She takes nothing for granted. We are lucky that she stayed the course and is now such a wonderful all round performer. Renee Zellweger singled her out during her acceptance speech when she won her Oscar for playing Judy Garland.

How do you know they don't contribute to charities, etc? Someone needs a big, long hug.
@laurenw942 жыл бұрын
Calm down. Eddie does so much charity work especially for ALS. And I'm not being funny but there will always be doom and gloom in the world. There will always be death and wars. As much as it sucks its a harsh reality and why should people stop enjoying success because of it? That's ridiculous
