It ended up going for a swim on a trip this spring and I'm happy to report it worked flawlessly!

Have you ever used the MEC Slogg deluxe? Ive been trying to decide which one i want, this one or slogg

yep, I've used the MEC as well. Its a good bag, but I find the material not quite as tough. I think the best bags I've used having tried 5 or 6 brands have been Sealline. They're as close to bombproof as you can get

It has both actually! Pretty decent back pad system as well compared to other dry bags of this type I've used.
