I’m watching this movie right now for the millionth time and this scene and song are my absolute favorite. I never knew who sang it until just now looking through these comments.

......... would anyone call me crazy if i said i saw a spark there? *sighs sadly* if it wasn't for the fact that he's a psychopathic killer i could EASILY see them falling for the other. :( am i weird?

***** i like the song in the garden scene. ^^ it's haunting and awesome and beautiful AT THE SAME TIME. and i'm glad you agree, with the whole spark thing. :D i like the filming swimming scene in the sequel when he doesn't listen to the other guy, and just does his own thing. i also saw how awed he was when they showed him the three fake bodied. xD i ALSO find it ironic how the other guy was trying to tell the ACTUAL KILLER how to swim and act in the scene.... though in his defense he didn't know it was the killer.. still though.

Ive always felt that it was more of a thing from HIS point of view and how he saw it. Kinda like the whole incel thing where a man becomes obsessed with a female because he perceives her simply smiling at him or being nice to him in a mundane situation, and he thinks it means shes interested or that he has a connection with her when thats not the case. I think this entire movie encapsulates that concept in general. Then her smashing the mirror ruins that illusion for him and makes him lose any semblance of empathy for her.
