Since Fizz and Buzz only have one sylla- sound in their names, it makes sense that another mice that may (or may not) exist in the flat also be called one sound names. If I were to find 5 other mice I (definitely not Arthur) would name them (in size order) 'Ave A Ba Na Na Now I know you're thinking having two mice named Na and Na would be confusing, but luckily, you're not naming them, I am, and I can definitely spot which is Na and which is Na. If I'm ever not sure, I try to remember that Na is the smallest mouse while Na is just a tiny bit bigger. Also one Na is grey while Na is brown. They make a very cute family (but don't tell Caroline I said that) , Fizz, Buzz, 'Ave, A, Ba, Na, Na I bet Douglas and Herc would make a game out of that.

Tally, short for Talisker, make sure Douglas doesn't try and steal him/her Toby, short for your favourite chocolate Toblerone Simon, so you can pretend you are playing simon says if your mum is around. Johanne, so you can remember your trip to Johannesburg Hester - the name of your favourite actress Bonus: Russell Crowe because it is a name that sounds evil but isn't (and you can pretend you are talking about the actor and not a mouse)

Arthur, if you don't want your Mum finding out, we could name them Fizz's babies after noises you might just happen to make in the flat anyway? How about Bang, Crash, Sneeze, Thump, and Stamp? Congratulations, Fizz and Buzz! I look forward to wetting the babies’ heads, and since there are five of them, it may be a long night. The naming of mice is a difficult matter, not just one of your lockdown games. Arth, Nold, Mana, Katze and Man was my first thought. Then I realised that the only names for these little furry bundles of joy could be Brie, Camembert, Emmental, Roquefort, The one in the Squidgy Foil packet (that last could be abbreviated to Squidgy if necessary).

Obviously, there's no reason why you'd want to have more names because there aren't any more mice. But THEORETICALLY, IF you had five more mice, you may want to name them after things that Caroline likes, so that she might find a soft spot for them and not tell you to do anything... unkind to them. For instance, maybe... Debbie, after debating (or arguing). Lenny, after Lemon. Sheila, after Sheep. Claire, after Airline. And Dougie, for, I don't know, maybe a funny memory she has attached to that name. There's some examples, I hope that helps!

Hi Arthur - you might like to know that on Radio 4 today, Sunday May 17 at 1915 (that’s after the Archers, so 7.15 in the evening) there’s a fly-on-the-wall documentary (not a real fly, they can’t hold the recording equipment) about an airline. Bizarrely there’s a steward in it called Arthur, but he’s not terribly good at it, so you, Arthur, may want to provide other Arthur with some guidelines

Name them after those five cereals. Or just collectively name them the Banana (because Fizz, and Buzz, had them). When my parents' neighbours' cat had kittens in my parents' living room (probably part of her long-running campaign to move in), my parents gave them the collective name of The New Potatoes, in reference to my best friend's niece having been known as Spud until she was born and named. Although my dad did then name his favourite kitten Flash, because of the huge orange patch on her head.

Hello, Arthur. Lovely video. While, I think it was smart of you to buy a new set of cereal boxes for yourself, I'm not so sure that your mother wouldn't have understood the implication. I hope things settle down soon. Regarding the random question of top five mouse names, you could simply gather a list of names you already know. For eg: Mouse!Arthur, Mouse!Carolyn, Mouse!Douglas, Mouse!Herc, and Mouse!Martin. I hope Douglas's advice on coming up with names you already know (either for yourself or five hypothetical mice) might help you here. But if that leads to confusion, you could always try picking names from Martin and Douglas's list of 'Brians of Britain'.
