Cabin Laundry Room Remodel | Small Space Makeover Ideas

Hey everyone and welcome back! This was definitely a fun and somewhat simple remodel project over the weekend. Our laundry room was in desperate need of an overhaul, which is why we hardly ever showed it. But we buckled down and got to work finalizing it after several months of starting and stopping. The new laundry set and addition of the 2nd office space livened it up a lot! What do you all think? Cheers to a great weekend! T&R

I suffer from depression and anxiety and just found out that I have a heart problem and need to go to the hospital for tests next month. So my anxiety was really high, but watching your vlogs makes me feel more in control and less anxious. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

I am really enjoying watching you two transform your home and yard. You guys are in a beautiful spot. The Cabin is beautiful, and I'd give my left you know what to live someplace like you are at. Careful with those peppers, you rub your eye or other sensitive areas, and you could be burning bad, LOL. Wear rubber gloves.

Basil is a desert Mediterranean plant that thrives in poor, well drained soil. It doesn’t like frequent watering or wet ‘feet.’ It’s actually east to grow if you keep those tips in mind.

Howdy Boys!! You guys need to straw mulch you garden to help keep the moisture in & the weeds out!!

Yes. Straw is good for keeping moisture in the soil. And that extended duration of moisture prevents veges from splitting while becoming larger. A more effective weed control is pine mulch because it nits together much tighter (heavier) than straw which is so light that a mild wind blows it out of the garden. Have you ever seen a weed under a pine tree? With all the trees on the hills, pine mulch is free. Carry a few plastic bags and a hand shovel on the next road trip. Your plants will thank you with their gifts.

Great video! Although the new washer and dryer you got looks awesome, it's a shame you got rid of the old ones as they would probably outlive the new ones you got.

Thanks. And yeah, we went back and forth on that as well. We were unsure of the age of the pair, but the washer was definitely in a fast decline the more we used it. 🤞 this new pair does well.

I love growing veggies! I am SO happy for you...keeping the deer out & enjoying the fruits of your labors. Deer can be ruthless... Don't worry too much about how it looks...your wonderful veggies are the important thing. 😊 Love the overhead shelf thing in the laundry room. Good job on the desk.

Definitely so fun! Can't wait to see how much different our garden will be next year now that we know what works and doesn't. And yep, the shelf in the laundry room has a ton of storage space. Aka, all the Christmas decorations we'll be amassing. 😉

Looks really great, guys! All of it. And even simple gardens are a lot of fun, especially when you can enjoy a meal or two from them. There's nothing better than a sweet cherry tomato right off the vine. Tho that double one makes me wander what variety y'all planted. lol! And great job on the laundry room. Since it's off your bedroom its such a great idea to go ahead and embrace the space as another finished room. It also looks like it has great natural light and a nice view out to the trees as well.

Indeed. Definitely makes it all worthwhile to enjoy the fruits of the labor. And yes, the natural light in that room is a great bonus. Although, it gets mesmerizing sometimes staring off at the trees swaying or the squirrel acrobatics. Hah

That was the most “painful” removal of a washer & dryer that I have ever seen in a video😅 You can rent an appliance dolly for about $12 to $20 around Atlanta, Home Depot rents them..most appliance retailers offer removal and installation for a small fee…not sure about your bird feeder?? Squirrels can be very protective of their food source and actually chase any birds away…and do you really want to attract squirrels to your home? they can become a nuisance, climbing on your window screens, etc.. I was hoping to here Todd say at least once “ I swanny” but he never did😢 Maybe check out architectural salvage businesses for “old glass” to fix your cabinet, you may have to cut it, but I think you can find the glass that you are looking for and if you do, you can take us along on your search..good luck😊

Painful even for us to rewatch, too! 🤣 But we managed to get it out. And yep, we had Home Depot actually haul them away, which their 2 man team picked them both up at the same time with their dollys. I was floored when I saw how effortless it was for them. Haha

Yeah, I haven't been able to grow a garden for years because of the deer. They make me mad but they are so cute when they hang around. I have mixed feeling about the varmints.
